That is the what if question here in the fight. Can PWill take the power? if he can he will win a wide UD, if not he gets layed out. I have no rationalization to think so other than Pavlik stopping most of his opponents but I think Pavlik stops him. PWill has not fought any MWs with power like Pav possesses before, so his chin is untested at his natural weight.

I believe Pavlik will hold up but Paul will UD him. Paul doesn't get tired and he's going to throw 100+ per round and Kelly isn't mobile or agile enough to throw off his rhythm. Kelly will just stand there covering up and waiting for his opportunity to throw the one-two power, meanwhile Paul will swarm him and work him from a lot of different angles and win round after round. Tell me Winky Wright isn't a full middleweight. Willliams had no trouble with his power. Power is only useful if you can land it. Pavlik will be too busy covering up. But, I do believe he will last the distance. He's a sturdy fighter. Kelly Pavlik--already peaked. Paul Williams--next generation. There's my prediction.

To be perfectly honest, Pavlik scares me with this talk. He thinks he can KO anyone. He is very powerful and should be confident, but he needs to have a plan B and C. This is reminding me of before the Hopkins fight when Pavlik was talking about KOing BHop. Are you kidding me? Pavlik needs to remember that he needs to be able to box and do more than just throw bombs.

If Kelly Pavlik convinces himself that he can KO Williams, and can't think beyond that, he will lose. Williams is too active for Pavlik to win rounds by just landing a few good shots a round.

I will be pulling for Pavlik but this worries me.

I had to laugh when I seen this fight.. total mismatch.. Kelly beat Jermain Taylor because JT has zero lateral movement... Williams not only can box but has head movement, lateral movement and throws more punches than Pavlik.. seriously.. how can Pavlik win? he difinitely cant outbox him.. out jab him? LMAO.. seriously.. this forum needs a wake up call because take away the names and look only at the skills and you have what could be one of the worst ass whupping seen on TV.
