Mayweather Says Mosley Missed His Chance, Twice

Shane Mosley is the best Welterweight in the world until Floyd Mayweather proves otherwise. But like he has said, "We're not fighting to prove who the best is."

Very true statement. Like BHop said if he was advising FMJ he would tell him to fight PAC 10x's.. It's about lining their pockets. When more fans start to realize this is a business first they can enjoy the sport more.

The Mayweather haters will always find another person that he is "supposed" to fight after he defeats someone else. After he beats the winner of cotto/pacman, then they will say he needs to fight Mosely, then it will be Paul Williams, then it will be Clottey or Berto...It will never end.

He is the Best and he is going to beat whoever he faces next. He just has the best combination of speed, power, and smarts to overcome anyone out there in (or around) the division. I think Paul Williams has the best chance, but he throws so many punches that I think he will leave openings for a smart/slick boxer like Mayweather.

Mosely was also crying for Pacman not too long ago and couldn't seem to leave that alone. No one scrutinized Pacman for not fighting Mosely the same way they are doing to Mayweather now. Everyone is very selective with their thinking and they forget everything else when it comes to downing Floyd. Everyday there is another article about Mayweather not fighting Mosely, but Pacman gets a free pass for not taking the fight. If anything Floyd should fight Cotto...the man who beat Mosely.

Well, that's exactly what pac is doing right now, fighting the guy who beat Mosley. I mean, what's the point in coming back from an early retirement if PBF only intended to have 2 fights? Only for money, i guess, but never the legacy he is talking about. He's not doing anything right now, and so is Mosley, and a match between them makes a lot of business sense, why make excuses? Cotto/Pac fight is a month and half away, that's a lot of sitting on the fence for a comeback kid, don't you think? (i'm guessing you don't agree).

mosley does have a shot at beating floyd but it would be ****** to fight mosley instead of the pac-cotto winner. pbf vs pac or cotto is the money fight.pbf may be arrogant but he's not dumb. pbf and mosley just might fight but after he spanks the pac vs cotto winner.

If Cotto KO's Pacquiao, who is Mayweather going to fight? I mean if he doesn't fight Cotto or Mosley at that point, then he deserves all the criticism in the world. Using the "Mosley had his chance argument" or "I will not do business with Bob Arum" argument will not be sufficient. And if he re-retires after one fight, his legacy will be tainted.

wonder what the odds are on a khan mayweather fight cause floyds such a ***** wouldnt surprise me if he took on khan cause of his glass chin and english fans backing him be a decent enough pay day since hes flapping it with a real welter fighter in mosley bet he ducks cotto if cotto beats pac he will take on the smaller pac dont think hes geting in there with cotto though defo not williams

I actually think Mosley has tried to play his cards right. You can criticize him for chasing the big money fights and making a mistake by doing that all you want. But Mayweather looks like he is going to be doing the same thing with no successful result if he ignores Mosley's challenge. Cotto and Pacquiao are made men where fan base is concerned and they will go after a less dangerous fighter than Floyd. Both Shane and Floyd should be held to the same standard where chasing brand name fighters is concerned. And I also thought it was bull**** that Mosley tried to get a fight with Zab Judah. I didn't like that at all. See, unlike Floyd fans I can point out other things that fighters besides Mayweather do.

First of all, Mosley don't deserve anything from floyd....at this time mosley brings nothing to the table for floyd....mosley should fight berto and get that green belt to make himself look more attractive to floyd...otherwise stfu and wait your ****ing turn shane because you were the one who was ducking floyd when he was coming up. i don't blame floyd at all for not jumping in to fight mosley cause after he beats mosley he'll all of sudden be "40 year old shane", and the boxing fans will still refuse to give floyd any credit. floyd should keep doing what he's doing and thats sit back and take his time looking at his options(winner of cotto vs pac). that being said the title of this thread is misleading as hell....can someone show me where pbf said he WOULDN'T fight shane or he missed his chance?
