Mosley lost to very tall boxers, Mayweahter isn't very tall.

Not if you're a boxing fan you don't. His point of view stinks. Mosley is the #1 ranked fighter in Mayweather's weight class. If he doesn't want to fight the best possible opposition in his own weight class, then he should retire again now, and good riddance to him. And to all the so-called fans who try to defend the indefensible.

That's such a ****** thing to say. Just because Mayweather keeps saying ****** things, doesn't mean you have to repeat them. Mosley moved up two entire weight divisions in order to fight the man who was rated #2 P4P at the time (and who shortly before had been rated #1 P4P, and had only lost the top spot due to a very controversial decision that many people considered to be a robbery). And he won. To claim that he was a fool for doing that, and to claim that he was ducking anyone in those circumstances, is just pathetic. People need to stop trotting out that ridiculous claim.

If Mayweather were to fight PWill or Pavlik at 160lb now, no one would accuse him of ducking Mosley in that situation - in fact he'd get massive respect if he were to do that - but that is an exact analogy of the situation Mosley was in in 1999.
This is a very good post. Mayweather avoided Mosley to fight the #2 P4P fighter in the world. But the difference is, he was two weight divisions smaller and not two divisions higher like Oscar was.

Not just that. It's the biggest fight with two natural WW since Leonard and Hearns. Imo Hoya vs Tito could have been that fight. But they ****ed that one up. Roger Mayweather even said that Mosley is that fighter who Floyd would really have to test his skills against. He said Shane has skills to pay the bills. Plus both are coming of great wins. Nobody has forgot about Shane's win over Margo. That's just hardcore Cotto fans saying that BS. I bet if Floyd fought Mosley a strategy would be used in that fight.

You are beyond ****** if you think Shane's performance against Tony tells us anything about how he'd do against Floyd. Just a few months before that fight, he had a fight with MAYORGA in which he lost a lot of rounds in. GTFO here. The dude who said if Shane was fighting Pac you'd be ****ting on him is right. You are just an extremely biased and ignorant Pac nuthugger.
You're just a plain dumb little ***** if you think Not ...Mayweather turn down 9million to fight Margaritio and Marg did the same thing SSM did. Approached the scared liitle f@g in person to get a fight. He turn down 9 million for less money to fight an easy fight. After Marg put an ass kicking on Cotto...another fighter Floyds ducked....Shane comes by and beats Margs ass into the canvas. You as ****** as you sound if you think Duckweather wont fight Mosley ONLY for the reason that ...Shane had is chance years ago. SSM is the #1 WW in the world. NOW! Why not NOW? I cant expect someone as ignorant as you to understand this.

Yeah, I remember that even Roger Mayweather said that Mosley was the toughest fighter out there for his nephew. Sr has just pretty much summed Pacquiao up as a bum even though I don't think that. I just think he is too small to beat Floyd just like JMM was.

It's not like Mosley jumped 2 weight classes to fight DLH. Didn't he have 2 fights at WW before he fought DLH? And Floyd did try to fight SSM @ 135 but Jack Mosley said they would fight him for $10mil...When FMJ had just made $150,000 go figure.

No, the lineal title is vacant. But Mosley is the #1 ranked fighter, so it's true that there can be no fight for the title that doesn't involve Shane. But he's not the lineal champ. The last lineal champ was Mayweather, before he "retired".

Mosley has always looked pretty bad at 154. It's not his best weight. Mayorga came in that fight weighing around 170. Plus he has the style were you need to be careful. Look what happen to fighters like Forrest and 6 Head Lewis. Even Spinks had a little trouble with Mayorga. Tito and Hoya were taller than Mayorga. They could see what he was throwing. That's just my view on that fight. But what happened in the end. He Knock his ass out cold.
