Caleb Plant, Charlo, or Saunders would all be obvious good fights to make to actually prove that he earned a shot. Where's the evidence that he's tried to make those fights? None of these clowns begging for a Canelo fight have shown any interest in making themselves a worthy target by unifying.
Andrade has in theory called for fights against the other champions but he's a boring fighter, who wins rounds and then just cruises, his last fight being the exception. Golovkin and Murata will hopefully get to unify. Canelo has already said he'd come back down to 160 if anyone can claim all the belts in that division.
The obvious fights to make would be Charlo v Andrade and Benavidez v Plant.
We may see Canelo fight Beterbiev instead of Makubu, but anyone who thinks that Makubu is an easy touch is an idiot. Makubu has proven power. I am quite sure that the people pretending he's a pushover for Canelo have never seen even one of his fights. Cruiserweight division isn't much of a glamour division, which is maybe why even now there are pundits who minimize and overlook Usyk. I'd bet most of the Canelo haters had never heard of Makubu before and probably only had heard of Briedis and Usyk, if at all. Hardly a position of expertise.
