When Benavidez was champ he was supposed to fight Callum Smith but begged the WBC to help him avoid it. If you duck a guy who Canelo then dominates, you shouldn't get a shot at Canelo until you redeem yourself by beating a top 5 opponent.

Canelo fans are the worst. Love the fighter in the ring and out but his fans are delusional. Exactly. I like Benevidez but in fairness had he kept his **** together outside the ring the fight would've already happened. He needs to take some of the responsibility for what might be a missed opportunity.

Benavidez, is a windbag. Whatever substance may show-up on Canelo's drug test, it isn't *******. Though maybe Benavidez considers ******* a diuretic or weight loss drug. There is naught in Benavidez's record that attests to an ability to defeat Canelo. He wants to test his metal, he should go fight GGG or any top five ranked opponent. GG is an aged fighter and would still batter Benavidez. There is no compulsion for Canelo to fight Benavidez - nor is he ducking Benavidez. If the time arrives, Canelo will happily dispatch the over-rated Benavidez.

No matter what happens canelo is gona have to face benavidez sooner or later. Theres no way around it cuz neither guy is going anywhere anytime soon.
