Absolutely the fight the fans want to see. Reynoso is right on his comments. But Benevidez is a hell of a fighter and gives him a good fight. Would love to see this fight happen. Canelo beats him no problem.

Well he is the best challenger left at 168. But he also threw his leverage away by losing his titles twice.

Lucky for David Canelo has been very active these days.

Why do we pretend Canelo fights elites fighters in their prime. He has never done that. Not even Floyd. He selects people he thinks he can beat or if they take him 12 he can rob. He missed weight at 154 in 2013 but needed to wait until almost four years later ti fight the champion at 160. Should have lost both and got popped using shady, umm, meat. Let’s stop pretending.

What is Benavidez even talking about? If he wants to fight Canelo, all he has to do is become Canelo's mandatory. That's how this works when you're the dude with no belts. You don't just give the guy with all the belts an ultimatum to fight you or leave.

How do you know what boxing fans know? How do you know what Reynoso thinks and what is in Canelo's heart? You are either a real clairvoyant --the first in human history-- or another babbling fanboy...methinks the latter. Hysterical babbling is unbecoming and adult. Leave that to children in the playground.

Jumping to 190lbs and avoiding the number 1 contender at SMW, a division in which your're undisputed... as well as jumping an ENTIRE weight class to avoid Beterbiev's power really are the moves of a confident fighter and trainer aren't they? If he does get forced into that fight don't be surprised if its meat and green tea on the menu yet again.

...Sorry but Bena will be destroyed by Canelo. His last fight wasn't consistent.

You don't really follow boxing, do you? Canelo's team approached Beterbiev before he signed to fight Kovalev. Unfortunately, Beterbiev turned down that fight to defend his title against someone else. Look here is the way it plays out. Canelo avoids a boogie man, "ducks" is the word they use. The myth is that he was "ducking" Callum Smith, Sauders, Plant, and so on. Then he signs to fight them. The next stage is the loud whining and complaining that these fighters are suspect and Canelo is cherry-picking. When Canelo knocks them out they are called bums by the same fanboys.

I will give Breadman Edwards and Andre Ward credit. They picked Plant to beat Canelo with Ward picking Plant to knock Canelo out. They stuck to their predictions. Of course, Canelo knocked him the F--KK out. How could these two experts have been so wrong? I let you figure that one out. The buzz now is that Canelo is fighting Charlo next. Guess what? Now, these fanboys are playing down Charlo's chances and making up excuses ahead of time. People who really know the sport pick Canelo to easily beat Charlo, Beterbiev, and Benavidez if those fights are made. Once the fights are announced the excuses begin. I have been following boxing since I was 7 years old when Kid Gavilan beat Chuck Davy. I have never seen such unappreciative and ill-informed boxing fans as I see today, and the sport itself is all the worse for it. Love him or hate him, Canelo is the real deal. My own view is that Benavidez is "easy work" for Canelo. He lacks head movement, does not have a good defense, and lacks elite-level experience. He has been a weight bully using his size to gain an advantage. He should have moved to light heavyweight years ago.
