Everyone with any potential in this sport is promoted carefully, but AJ has been way more than Fury or Wilder. AJ took on the safest challenges possible, all at home basically. When he stepped out of that comfort zone he got stopped by a C+ fighter.

Look at Fury traveling all over and fighting Wlad, Wilder twice. Wilder taking on Fury twice, Ortiz twice.

When your sample size is 'taking on guys in the top 10' you have to factor in other things - like what level that guy is at that time, where the fight is, etc. Come on man

Hey man, if you believe Fury and Wilder have the better resumes, then cool.

Like I said, all three are overhyped to Hell.

Was just pointing out AJ has fought more diverse and varied opposition

I could care less about the HW division at the moment except for my guy Usyk!!!

    War Usyk!!!

I guess Tyson was a hype job too because he lost to Douglas and then to Holyfield. GTFOH.

Joshua has already had far more success than possible to be a hype job. He could go 0-10 in his next 10 fights and still not be a hype job.

Overrated? By a lot of people, yes.

But he is a solid heavyweight who has beaten some very good fighters, Hype Jobs are prospects who blow away tomato cans and lose to their first legit opponent, Jeff Lacy was a hype job, Seth Mitchell was a hype job, Victor Oriz and Andre Berto were hype jobs, James Kirkland was a hype job.

Joshua has 2 losses, one avenged and one to the P4P number 1 so it's not that bad is it.

Joshua was a unified world champion with multiple defences, if he was a hype job he would have lost to Takam, Parker, klitschko, Pulev. Those guys are all decent and capable of wins at top 10 level

I think he has fought bigger 'names' but guys with a good name that can't fight at that level anymore are always the best opponents to pick. Pulev and Povetkin were 40. Wlad over 40. Takam 37. Parker a 12 round unimpressive decision, at home.

The KO of Whyte and the KO vs Wlad were impressive enough wins for me, even though he had serious issues vs Wlad, and a few issues early vs Whyte. Everything else AJ has is pretty 'meh'.

I don't think Fury is that overhyped, and everyone knows what WIlder is anyway. He certainly isn't really overhyped by anyone I see.

He fought all 4 of those guys at home, Takam was 37, Klit and Pulev were 40+. Parker was a 12 round unimpressive win which was aided by the fact that he was fighting at home.

Call it whatever you want, but the guy has clearly been very carefully promoted and protected, and was way overhyped. Evidence of that is you still overhyping him right now, lol.

Don't ever compare AJ to Mike Tyson - again another example of the lunacy of AJ fans and why it must be pointed out how much of a hype job AJ is. His fans are deluded and need help.

You guys aren't going to see the next loss coming, get ready for it, so it doesn't shatter your pysche.

All you UK lovers/AJ fans, don't ever call anyone a hype job ever again. You guys have it so wrong with AJ that you have 0 credibility.
Bigger than Wilder and Broner who were two glorified bums? Lol

AJ has some very good and 1 great win. wilder and broner both have nothing

No one has ever really overhyped Wilder, everyone has always known what he is, and isn't.

Broner getting overhyped on forums, I never really frequented them much during that time, if it happened. Everyone knows he isn't top level now, and everyone now knows what he is and isn't. AJ fans are still having problems with all of that

When you have most everything in your favor, and are a decent fighter (which often times goes along with being somewhat of a hype job) you will often do OK.

Until you get to the point where your team can't control everything and you get exposed. It's happened to AJ now twice. The first time was awful, this one just icing on the cake really.
