True, but nobody thought it would end that early. i was sure manny's gonna win but i thought ricky would be more competetive.

the weight did affect him but not as much as a lot here are claiming. he was throwing punches the first few rounds but he gave up on some point. he was hitting jack-****. he was hoping to land that one big punch, but it never came. @ 154, i still think pacman beats em.

So int he end it all is really logical if you get down to the facts.
sincerely doubt it. i think they hydrated him after the unofficial weigh in where he weighed 147 lbs.

still, even by some chance what you claim is true, it was de la hoya who proposed that weight, and fought at 150 before the fight. he had to come down 3 pounds where pacquiao had to climb 2 divisions. still an upset if you ask me.

this weight drained thing is getting out of hand. it ain't the only thing that determines a fight. and it wasn't even that big of a deal before this fight. now its weight drained this, weight drained that...

thing is, pacquiao beat oscar so bad it has to be something other than pacquiao being that good. which is cutting him a little short. plus a lot here (including me) never gave him a chance. some people just can't stfu and eat their crow.

crazy thing is the ones who never gave him a chance are the ones who are trying to discredit this win. pacquiao deserves ALL the credit in the world for beating de la hoya..

The consensus was it would be a tough fight, but Pac would pull a head in the later rounds and either win by TKO in rounds 10-12 or win a decision.
So am I nobody? I saw that coming. granted I said 4 rounds since I thought the first two werent gonna be such a gun fight. I thought Hatton would try to adjust instead of brawling since he had floyd Sr in his corner. but he reverted.

NOne the less. how is Cotto, the strongest fighter 147 in his prime with still a LOT of gas in the tank. A lesser of an opponent than De la Hoya drained and shot. he lasted 8 rounds and couldve gona 12. Those shots didnt phase him he was just being embarrassed.

But Cotto gets KOed. Not even a chance to go 12 rounds. it doesnt make sense.

^^Oscar's chin >>>>>> Cotto's chin. Weight drained or not. And Pac stopped oscar. You're acting like he didn't. If Oscar didn't quit, would he have lasted 12 rounds? Nope either he was going down or the ref was going to stop the fight.

But man, I'm not going to argue with you, no point. I'm a fan of both fighters, I just see Pac taking this fight as he's the better fighter than Cotto in almost every department. Size is overrated these days and so is power. Time will tell

No the weigth drainage had everything to do with how De la Hoya performed.

not too mention he was already shot. Just look at De la Hoya in his prime against mosley to how he looks now. the man is a shell of himself.

It was the weight that effected him the most. He had no power no speed. all factors that are effected by being weight drained.

When I competed I felt like **** trying to make weight. I still didnt even feel 100% after rehydrating. Imagine after rehydrating not being able to gain significant weight. he gained 3lbs after the weigh in which means he didnt retain it afte being hydrated.

What happened with Ortiz and Maidana?

Was power overrated than or skill?

Ortiz couldnt take the shots coming at him since they rocked him. Its gonna happen to Pac. hes gonna feel the true power of a dangerous puncher with extreme skill.

Anyone who dominates Mosley shouldnt be taken so lightly or even considered a KO.

Freddie Roach knows whats up. He beleives it will go 12. Thats given his fighter fights a perfect fight. If it does go anywhere past 10 Pacquiao wont be winning since he will have taken too much damage. Cotto isnt Hatton or De la Hoya. He is a major threat and imposing fighter. The man will give Pacquiao the biggest punches hes ever felt. pacquiaos chin hasnt even been tested

You don't give Pac enough credit. Watch the first two rounds of teh fight oscar was throwing punches with authority he just couldn't land on pac. The speed frustrated the **** out of oscar and he gave up by round 3-4 and become very sluggish.

So sure, you can say the weight effected Oscar, but that's not the whole story.

Very true. Collazo was schooling him and shouldve won, Now Collazo is a 147 gatekeeper. he cant beat the best.

So that shouldve been a measuring stick to how good Hatton is against good opposition.

LOL @ using a prospect as an example.

Skill went out the window for Ortiz because he fought like an idiot. He didn't use his superior skills to his advantage. BIG DIFFERENCE.

Anyone who dominates Mosley shouldnt be taken so lightly or even considered a KO.
PLEASE do not say Cotto dominated Mosley, the fight was close and cotto was shaky as fuuck in the final rounds. I'm a huge cotto fan and was going for cotto all the way and scored it a draw when watching live (after re-watching it scored it more clearly for cotto by a point or two, but lol @ dominate).

Like I said I'm not going to debate this arguement with you. I already said it goes against all logic, but when it comes to pacman don't be surprised if the unexpected occurs.
