And just to put out there,
Teddy Atlas picked Hatton to beat Pacquiao because he said Hatton would be to big and strong for Pac Man.
Then when Pacquiao knocks him out, Teddy says Pac Man is a Great fighter but Hatton was made for Pacquiaos style. Teddy then says De La Hoya was made for Pacquiaos style. He is a ******.
B-hop needs to hurry and take his job over completely

Umm...it is highly debatable.
Pacquiao avenged his one loss against Morales by KO 2 times. Getting knocked out when you are 16 shouldn't count. Even if it does though..
Barrera 2x
Morales 3x
Marquez 2x
DLH
Hatton
Ledwaba
Solis
Valesquez
Larios
Sasakul
Sanchez
the sad thing is I can even name more worthy oponents...even Diaz would normally show up on a fighter's resume, but Pacquiao has so many good names on his list that can take his place.
not to mentioned he's jumped how many weight classes? It isn't close at all, Pacquiao resume is much better than Pernels.
Who would win is a different story. Pernel doesn't fight like anyone Pacquiao has fought, and vice versa. If Pacquiao lbs on Mayweather or even knocked out Marquez, there is a good chance a fight at 140 would give him the nod. He's quicker then Pernel and hit's harder, throws more...
The reason I said Marquez is because he's a counter puncher. Pacquiao had trouble with him at 130, but he's looking a lot better and less 1 - dimensional these days.
BUT - based on resume's only, Pacquiao has the better resume.
considering he doesn't even have the W over 2 of those guys you listed, he doesn't come close to Pacquiao's.Last edited by them_apples; 05-09-2009, 06:53 PM.

Im one of Pernells biggest fans, but cumon man,Pac has a better resume
Morales,a ATG,got knocked out TWICE,not defeated on points, but KOd twice by Pac
Barrera,a ATG,got stopped badly and then lost widely again to Pac
Pac,who started as a flyweight, moved to Welterweight and brutaly beat down DLH,made him say no mas
And then went to Ricky Hattons kingdom,Hattons so called unbeatable weight class, where he had never lost, and knocked him spark out in 2
Morales x2
Barrera x2
Marquez win and draw
DLH KO
Hatton KTFO
Do i even need to say more? That right there is already a sick list,Pac has the better resume and will be remembered more then Sweat Pee for his style
And i dont think Teddy said Pernell is higher,he said u can compare Pac to the Whitakers,Pryors and Alexis Arguellos, but u cant compare him to the fighters in the 20's and 30's ( wot d ****? )Last edited by bishop2006; 05-09-2009, 07:03 PM.

135 -> 140 -> 147 -> 154 with legitimate titles in all.
The bottom line is that how many weight classes a fighter is able to jump has more to do with a fighters body type than their ability.
Pac was huge at the lower weights, Pernell was not.
