Like I said before, money not an issue? Mayweather beats Manny. And I don't even seeing it being close.

My whole deal isn't with if Mayweather deserves it.
I'd RATHER see him fight SSM or Cotto.
I agree all the way around.

He had a great hall of fame career, and I have no problem respecting his decision if he doesn't want to fight again, but how can you say "what else is there to do"? Boldomir was a very limited fighter who is no longer even rated in the top 10 at Welterweight; Judah is an under-achiever who is now only ranked #9 by The Ring. Mosley, Cotto, Williams (at 147) and Clottey would all be considered far bigger threats to his 0 than either of those two were. A lineal title is one thing, but an undisputed title won by cleaning out the best fighters in a division is another.

Having said that, I agree with those who say he wasn't a true Welterweight; and I would have no problem with him returning to 140 and fighting the Pacquiao-Hatton winner at that weight, where he has more power and doesn't have to rely so much on out-skilling stronger fighters. And I don't have a problem if he wants to stay retired either. I have far more of a problem with fighters who are still active pricing themselves out of the fights everyone wants to see, like Hopkins did vs. Jones; or fighting limited fighters that pay well in preference to the fights everyone wants to see, like Pavlik, if he takes the fight with Duddy rather than fight Abraham - that's a million times worse than anything you could accuse Mayweather of, IMO.
whether Baldomir was limited or not means nothing, fact is he was the lineal champ of the division. Baldomir is no longer ranked because he left the division and moved up to fight Forrest at 154. Judah was the undisputed champ of that division, how can u knock that and belittle it for what it is. Mosley at the time wasn't even fghting in the division, Williams and Clottey weren't considered threats when he was in the division.

in the history of boxing or since i have been alive have we asked a fighter to clean out a division at the ned of his game at a weight he doesn't belong in. We din't ask of that from SRL, Hearns, or Duran, but we expect that of Floyd. why not ask manny to clean out 147, he didn't even fight a champ or gain atitle in the divison, but hear no demand for him to fight Mosley?

People always get it twisted with me, I want to see him fight again sure. If the man really does not want to anymore, who am I to say he should go on just for my entertainment in such a brutal game. Floyd could have done more with his career, I have always said that but that does not detract from the 10 year run that he had.

I remember Floyd from the Olympics and watched him grow up in the ring, I have seen plenty of Mayweather. It is hard to talk to people about Floyd who started watching him much later on in his career.

So how do you explain a 30 page thread about him in two hours?

                  Ok.

No way Corrales could have been at his best knowing he was facing jail time for domestic assault.

Hernandez was in the ast fiht of a 14 year career and never fought again. Does that really soud like he was at his best?

Oscar was a part time fighter.

Hatton had already proven he wasn't going to be a force at 147 when he almost lost to Collazo. Hec also said right after that fight that he didn't belong fighting at that weight.

Judah? Come on now....does anybody here in their right mind think Zab was at his best coming off a loss to Baldomir?

Like I said, its easy to manipulate any fighters record if you really want to. I could just as easily make these guys look like world beaters too.

But floyd won....explain why Pacman lost to a Morales who wasn't at his best?

Whats there to explain? Manny lost his first fight to atill prime Morale who was still a top ranked p4p fighter at the time. Am I wrong?
