I'd love for Floyd to fight, but it's just funny he'd yell "$20 Mill!!!" knowing damn well neither Top Rank or GBP are going to pay him that upfront, especially considering he really isn't THAT exciting of a fighter (don't get exciting and skilled confused). Both the Oscar and Hatton fights were great performances from Floyd, but lacked any real excitement and for the majority of the people paying to see a fight, they want excitement.
Floyd is about business, but so are Top Rank and GBP. They're not ******.

Bottom line is Pac has fought better comp, had more longevity and is more exciting. He's the best of his era. Notice I didn't say the most talented, only the best.

He had a great hall of fame career, and I have no problem respecting his decision if he doesn't want to fight again, but how can you say "what else is there to do"? Boldomir was a very limited fighter who is no longer even rated in the top 10 at Welterweight; Judah is an under-achiever who is now only ranked #9 by The Ring. Mosley, Cotto, Williams (at 147) and Clottey would all be considered far bigger threats to his 0 than either of those two were. A lineal title is one thing, but an undisputed title won by cleaning out the best fighters in a division is another.
Having said that, I agree with those who say he wasn't a true Welterweight; and I would have no problem with him returning to 140 and fighting the Pacquiao-Hatton winner at that weight, where he has more power and doesn't have to rely so much on out-skilling stronger fighters. And I don't have a problem if he wants to stay retired either. I have far more of a problem with fighters who are still active pricing themselves out of the fights everyone wants to see, like Hopkins did vs. Jones; or fighting limited fighters that pay well in preference to the fights everyone wants to see, like Pavlik, if he takes the fight with Duddy rather than fight Abraham - that's a million times worse than anything you could accuse Mayweather of, IMO.
