Cotto's Options Come Down To Clottey, Cintron, Berto

What?! The decision is in Cotto's hands? Man......that *** is gonna pick Cintron. It's the easiest fight for him and he knows he can beat Cintron easily. He should be FORCED to fight Clottey.

A Mosley rematch isn't an option because Mosley won't fight Cotto in MSG. Arum is giving Cotto his accostumed MSG fight on P.R. Parade weekend. To me it should be Clottey but it'll probably be Berto. I would hate for it to be Cintron but Boxing is a business and that fight represents the most $$$$.

Ive been trying to tell them That Cotto vs Cintron (even though I dont like it) means alot of money in NYC in JUne...but alot of these guys feel Cotto doesnt have the right to make money decisions like Mayweather and Hoya. Hey I like Cotto vs Clottey or Berto too...but he deserves the same rights as other big boxers..either way I watch either fight.

First you say "2nd largest fight for cash"...to show the importance of money...then you go ahead and say Cotto trying to get "whatever would be his personal high in money) means "he scared of Clottey"..
Like I said Cotto is a man, just like Hoya and Pac. He deserves to make money too even if it isnt "2nd Largest fight for cash in the history of the new free world and a whole other bunch of sugar on top and roses and more"...I would love to see the Clottey fight too but like you understand the importance of Money , Im sure he does too.

1) fyi, I thought the dlh/pac fight was the ******est fight ever and so is the cotto/berto fight (at least until berto improves). my point was atleast dlh/pac was a huge money pot, while cotto/berto isnt going to make anymore than clotty/cotto.

2) I dont believe cotto is scared of clottey but his fans are. thats why they are dead set on not having clottey fight cotto anytime soon. cotto fans are still psychologically scarred from the margo fight and want to pamper cotto with easy fights. fyi, cotto isnt a baby, he's a grown man and can beat clottey, so lets make that fight happen.

3) clottey is worth about as much as berto anyways. like u said boriquas will pay no matter what so who cares if the opponent is clottey or berto.

If he picks Cintron it won't be for the money. Cintron is not under Top Ranks and will want more money than Clottey or Berto plus you would have to split the money with another promoter. He wont add fans to the Garden because like i said before Cotto can fill the GARDEN on the eve of a puertorican day parade even if he fights the hot dog guy from the corner of 42nd street.

What Cotto will need in terms of money will be a guy than can help him sell PPV and after Cintron's last fight (which everybody but the judges saw him lose) he wont help sell no fight at all.

if it's for money, Cintron is not an option.

i hope he chooses berto, he could make money and pick up a belt, at the same time knocking off an undefeated young up and comer. cintron would be terrible, but i cant lie id still go just to see miguel kill him. i lost alot of repect for him. and clottey would be the hardest..we'll see what kind of man miguel is when he makes his choice. berto seems to be right down the middle for me

1) I wont even respond to how you know which fight makes more money, personally my career has nothing to do with Promoting or knowing these things unless its a no brainer which I dont believe this is(or there would be no discussion on the subject)
2)Fans of Cotto fearing who he fights..hmmmm Not even worht responding.
3)As for paying to see the event of course but what you forget is in NYC there is also a parade and TV shows and interview and radio stations for both fighters plus a whole lot more that brings money but again wont get into money too much, Im no pro.

Listen man...this thread is about Cottos option..If you like the Clottey...Im happy for you...Why a Cotto fan would fear another man fighting theirs seems a little ****** to me....Im a boxing and fighting fan first and foremost before I worship some guy that fights for a living(you must be mistaking me for a delusional Margarito fan)...So id rather see ANY damn fight...but Cotto is the one that puts his life and career on the line ...ultimately its up to him to choose whats best for him Thats why this thread states : Options.
