I think it was a legit injury, based upon how he fought the second half of the fight. Having said that, the fight in question was against someone who had been KO'D in 2 rounds not long beforehand, so God knows why he felt the need to take it. An injury prone guy taking a warm-up fight 2 months before the biggest night of his life?

I don't know if the injuries before the Johnson fight were legit. Why arrange a fight that you don't need to take, and then fake injury? But on the other hand, getting injured twice before taking on the toughest opponent of your career...
I just think that Joe has always had a lot to lose. Warren said he had confidence issues and it wouldnt surprise me if that was the truth. Johnson is a dangerous fight and he applies constant pressure. The match up may have proved to be difficult for Joe. Not saying Joe wouldnt win, but it would be tough. As far as talking about Johnson after the fight didn't happen, all boxers do that to save face and prove to fans that they didn't duck the fighter. I feel the fight should have happened at some point.

That link is pathetic. Calzaghe butt boys always imply (but never say outright) that Joe got injured and was ready to fight Johnson after the injury healed. They always forget to mention that it was the SECOND TIME he had pulled that stunt.

Frank Warren has bad mouthed every fighter that has left him and his pockets empty. It'll be Khan next

How exactly is the link "pathetic"?

Yet when someone posts that Calzaghe was "scared of Jones" with no link whatsoever, you take it as being concrete.

no. ...................... ask his ex manager, he has the story. Someone bring that up again. I'm so tired of this fake champ.

Learn to read. I already went over why it's pathetic.

Joe had two hand injuries and Johnson didn't want to wait so he pulled out. Neither fighters fault
