Calzaghe is 37, Roy is 39.

Pavlik is 25 yet he wants to fight a 43 year old and a 37 year old back to back.

    But thats cool, right?

No.........Tarver just isnt that good. And hes even older now. I dont even think Dawson beat Johnson. So how the guy is already proven and someone like Kessler isnt in your eyes is beyond me.

Pavlik isnt saying hes retiring as a legend killer, **** his run is just starting. But if cal wants to retire and be known as one of the greats I would at least like for him to beat one great fighter in his prime. For what its worth I think the Pavlik Bhop fight is complete bull**** and a waste of time for Pavlik. Roy is 39, but his prime was over when he was 34. Cal is just in his prime. There is a difference, its not just about age.

How is Calzaghe in his prime? The man is 37 with 45 fights, 20+ of them world title fights yet he's just hitting his prime?

And what the **** has Pavlik ever done to be considered great?

im gonna start off by saying i really dont care for either fighter Cal and Pav..

Cal is dumb because how you gonna call pavlik an overrated fighter and say u tried to fight him back in the day.. that makes your resume (cal) look suspect.. he's admitting to tryin to fight a unknown untested fighter.. for the record Calzaghe would probably beat Pavlik because to me Pav is one dimensional and he is a little overrated.. aside from the 2 taylor fights he hasnt realy fought anyone good and now all the sudden they have him ranked a top 5 fighter?? miranda is some overblown wannabe mike tyson, luckett is pure trash and the list goes on.. when he beat taylor, he barely won the first fight some argue he didnt win the second one.. its obvious he can fight because he's champ for some reason.. pav has good power and a good work rate, im not trying to hate but i dont think he is as good as people make him out to be and if he and calzaghe fight im pretty sure calzaghe will outbox him and defeat him.. cal is the better boxer, can adapt to styles, and has fought at higher weight classes presumably against bigger punchers than pavlik..

Bro Pavlik vs Lockett was a title fight also, so please dont try to impress me with numbers. If hes not in his prime then I feel sorry for him because he has left his prime behind without beating anybody signifcant. Taylor alone is a bigger fight then anyone Cal has ever faced (keep in mind Bhop was way over the hill when cal "beat" him). In fact I doubt Cal could ever get past Taylor. The fact is you keep saying over 20 title fights, 45-0, and all I see is bull**** fights against no namers, old schoolers, and overhyped fighters end of story. Like I said Taylor alone is worth more then Cals whole resume (let alone Taylor twice).

You got to realize this is not about winning or losing its about getting in there with the best. The best of today, not yesterday. Take Bhop for example the man has been in there with the likes of winky, tarver, ODLH, Trinidad, Glen Johnson, Roy Jones (in his prime), Taylor. These are the kind of resumes that say im the best. Not the bull**** Calzaghe has built. If your going to point at Pavliks record keep in mind that Pavlik is 12 years younger and has 34 fights to Cals 45. This is the beginning for Pavlik he has a lot of time to build his name, Cal is almost done with no signifcant wins under his belt, this is the true problem with Calzaghe.

Yeah I agree it's hard to say a guy's in his prime at an age most fighters retire. Guys like Hopkins are the exception not the rule.

That is not true Joe has quite a few big wins but Pavlik Crushes him. U think Roy will have no respect for Cal Pavlki would just laugh. He is great at cutting of the ring, has better than average speed and defense, and he has the accuracy and power to make Joe pay. Joe will try and slide and weave early but eventually he gets caught Pavlik is a beast. Peace
