Roy Jones is one of the biggest conartists in boxing. Yes, in his prime he was the man. He had skills galore, but he's always been a shrewd business man first, a con artist second and a boxer third.

What happened to that guarantee he made in the Tito fight? He didn't even try for a KO.

What happened to him trying to win the 3rd Tarver fight? Roy did nothing in those fights.

Roy knows he's shot as hell and all he's trying to do these days is collect a paycheck from the blind sheep that will buy into his con-game.
First post :-) This made me... I may not have seen the whole third fight with Tarver, but I did see him try fairly well to hurt Tarver in that fight...check out the clip on youtube... maybe that's pretty much all it was from Roy,but it wasn't nothing as you have said... was he that inactive in the rest of the fight with Tarver dominating him?..

That was to get JOE to fight him.... NOW that the fight is set, Jones hasnt said anything about KOing anyone... HE just clearly stated he WILL win.... KO'ing Joe is just to get hype, Jones couldn't KO anyone in his last few fights... so I don't think he can KO Joe's good chin, but on the FLIP side JOE has not KO'ed anyone in awhile either... SO Jones has nothing to be afraid of.... when it comes to letting his punches go, there will be nothing of POWER on the return from Calzaghe.. So this will be a competitive fight for both.....

Most def, I agree. Roy Jones is a LEGEND. He's one of the greatest to ever do it. But that was then and this is now. I'm calling a spade, a spade.

Roy will not take any chances against Calzaghe. He'll lay back against the ropes, let Joe pound him and then hot dog to the crowd. His rabid fans will buy into the hotdogging and actually interpret that as Roy doing something...

This fight is as easy to predict as Mosley-Mayorga... if I'm wrong, I'll be happy.

Nah I'm good I watched the B-Hop-Joe fight live and I definately think its a case of once is enough for that one.

I can seen where Roy can score, it just depends on his punch output IMO.

Don't worry, if Calzaghe happens to lose I'm sure you will find another undefeated nut to hug to. Abraham? You should know better than I.

Believe me, there was little action in that fight. I wish it was as I went in with a friend to order that trash PPV.

Roy was as active as a sleeping lion in that fight. It was horrid.

See, you are aware as well that Roy is a con...LOL!

Regardless, the fight will only be competitive if Joe decides to stand around and watch Roy dance. Otherwise the fight is his to win.

You see I think he will take chances... I think he sees a LIGHT puncher that will not hurt his frail chin... SO i think he will fight like he has nothing to lose....I mean really when has JOE KO'ed anyone.... Why would JONES worry about being KO'ed by someone that is known for light punching... Jones hasn't been KO'ed from a million punches, but from that ONE HARD punch from a guy with power.... when has JOE had that power in the last 10 or so years or IF EVER?????? I think Jones is going to surprise many.....including myself to certain degree....
