floyd is just a type of person people can't stand. It has nothing to do with his color and much to do with how he conducts himself outside the ring. This interview is a perfect example. Instead of being a goodwill ambassador of the sport, he's putting down other fighters. Instead of being grateful for everything the sport and HBO has made possible for him, he rips them with unsubstantiated allegations. Floyds a great fighter, but he's also a little *****.

I don't agree overall. The comment about 'bums' yeah, I think he shouldn't have said it. Not sure it was directed at Pac solely, and if it was I'm not keen on that. However, I believe doing this gives Floyd some competitive edge and that tells me he's not mentally left the sport as yet. Ever since he's left, there has been all sorts of digs thrown his way, even when Pac was crowned p4p champ, people still found a way to diss Floyd and draw comparisons and it was snide. Perhaps he's a little bitter about it all? I don't mean that in a bad way, it's human. He doesn't play the game really, and to be honest, I doubt he will.

I suspect that bum comment all ties in with his frustration at the racism he spoke about. It's the way he'll try to put his arm around Larry Merchant at the end of the Hatton fight and Larry looking coldly into the distance and you can tell he's choked up that Floyd won again. It's the way that Lampley and Larry will blatantly state that the boxing world needs a heavyweight equivalent of ODH with him sitting in the studio, after he beat Oscar. It's the way boxing media are willing to already talk about Pac's place in the HOF, but Floyd has to do more? WTF? It's not Pac's fault, I like the little guy, but sorry, these things will get to you. We may well be hearing about his return in December.

Maybe the reason he doesn't get the praise he wants is because he talks like this. You can't act like he did during the tour with Oscar and expect to gain everyones respect. Sure he has the respect inside of the ring but outside he never will. The only time that really stands out where he showed real class in an interview was after the Hatton fight, but this shows that was just a one time thing.

He said the same thing about Oscar. In a roundtable interview before thier fight he said "Oscar goes to the strip clubs, drunk. Ive seen him" They were just like okay. They told Oscar about it and he just laughed, said "oh yeah". Mayweather isnt a fan fav., and he knows it. It burns him up because you seen these type of comments. manny stewart is biased against fighters who run around, who don't give the public exactly what they want, and who are always talking **** in press conferences.

Manny Stewart is old skool and dont like fighters who make a mockery of the sport that allowed them to live in luxury.

What I dont get is why is floyd mad at just the hbo announcement team instead of Pacquiao and Pavlik? Almost every sportswriter in the world shares those same views. Is he afraid of the ol' tabloid spin misquoting him and taking it as a challenge to Pacquiao?
