The Iron cross was first used in prussia in 1813, then later in germany in the late 1800s. its just a standard military decoration.

****'s ruled germany so if you lived there you had no choice. but you didnt have to join the **** party, nor did you have to be a **** sympathizer. Anyone running the concentration camps, the main part that makes ****s look bad, was a soldier enlisted in the SS, so therefore a ****.

Its easy to thus claim he was a **** sympathizer. If we just present certain facts that we like to defend our agenda and ignore context or alternatives we can darn near create any narrative we want. Of course that seems par for the course in modern society.
