That might be a good idea. I don't usually care too much but the History Section used to be the one place on this website where respectful interaction was strictly enforced.

It's a shame to see those high standards fall by the wayside thanks to those two.

This section has had more quality conversations

I like all my fellow posters here and feel different: I feel like there are more quality conversations now than when this place had trolls who really did not argue their take well at all. We lost Ray and he was wonderful and over the years I do not see other posters who I looked forward to learning something from, posters like Green and Joe Louis, etc.

I like having everybody that posts here around... Im not going to talk about my impressions of QueenB or Rusty because I post back and fourth with them on a regular basis, hence my opinions are common knowledge.

I would ask some to remember when we had Elroy with his maddening ****** remarks, or SonnyBoy who on occasion could post a decent nugget, but would sure put out a lot of other stuff in the meantime.

I go by a principle I see in the martial arts: I once asked a very good teacher about what he did with bad students, guys who were trouble... he told me that nothing had to be done, they would leave, they wanted something else...Trouble. When it was not fourth coming? they would go elsewhere where they would find it.

Sure, some of out posting styles conflict, or what one person considers cheeky, another thinks of as rude... But I think the reason all of us stay and post is because in our own way we want the dialogue that results here...as opposed to arguing with an idiot like Hippo, or Elroy for example. Just my two cents.

By "leave him be" are you suggesting I just turn the other cheek? I certainly do not equate responding to an insult as advocating for a formal action.

I also think there is a difference. There are posters here who contribute no information what so ever to a discussion.There are other posters who get into kurfuffles but also post interesting information...despite whether one agrees, or not. I would love to see a bunch of posts from Pretty Boy where he ever discusses a topic in this section with any degree of intelligence. Elroy is the same...
