I do think Canelo struggles with faster, more mobile fighters. Fighters who allow him to tee off, or allow him to slip and counter will struggle. But faster, more mobile guys will make him look bad. Kinda like Sam Langford or James Toney.
That being said, when did Robinson ever face anyone as big and as good as Canelo? Gavilan, remember, gave up size and stepped into Robonsin's wheelhouse and made it competitve. Basillio straight up bput Ray on the backfoot.
Obvously, people gave them credit for bravery. Probably they were less effective than we want to remember. But they were able to last the distance... why wouldn't the guy who took Golvokin's best do better?
