Hate on the Interim WBC Flyweight belt all you want but considering the guys he beat in those interim title matches compared to Pablo Cano, it's a hell of a lot more legit.

    No...... lol

BTW, helluva game by Romo yesterday, the best I've ever seen him play

He looked pretty good. They needed that comeback as to not lose confidence in themselves. Miles Austin is a BEAST!!

And you think that is a legitimate world title fight? A guy who has never fought anyone in the top 100 let alone top 10? The opponents of his last five opponents have a combined win-loss record of 836-490. The only one to ever fight anyone notable was Oscar Leon, and he lost 8 of his last 10 before fighting Cano. Him getting a world title shot is a joke and why boxing is ridiculed nowadays. I find it amazing that a single boxing fan would try and legitimize this fight without an agenda.

If Cano turns out to be a quality fighter then yes it will end up being a legit fight. Either way a prospect is really the best you could hope for on like 10 days notice

I got him as the 4th greatest Mexican ever, might surpass Olivares on the 3rd now though...maybe, maybe not.

                  BEST FIGHTS

                  1. W 12 Manny Paquaio

Pacquaio had obliterated Barrera while Morales had always had so much trouble with the mexican. Pacquaio looked far fresher than Morales and with his tendency for getting hit and having a FIGHT Morales looked made for the Filipino. Morales handled Manny from the start. The gloves had nothing to do with it, Morales was just plain better. El Terrible held up under Pacquaio's assaults and landed with counter rights all night cutting Manny's eye.

                  2. L 12 Marco Antonio Barrera (3rd fight)

Better than the one he "won" for Morales. He came on strong down the stretch rocking Barrera with rights and hooks in the 7th and 8th before getting hurt himself in the 9th. Morales owned the championship rounds and beat an exhausted Barrera to the punch repeatedly.

                  3. W 12 Marco Antonio Barrera

Not a win he deserved but his performance was Great and so was the fight. It was 12 brutal rounds of back and fourth action. Non stop punching and world class skills, a rare mix. True Classic

                  4. Paulie Ayala

Ayala looked at the peak of his powers coming up 4lbs to face El Terrible. Morales looked headed in the other direction after a loss to Barrera a scare against Injin Chi and a so so performance against Gutsy Espadas. Morales tortured Ayala from the opening and showed a better defence, movement and crisp combinations. Ayala was lucky to see the end as Morales slammed home big lead uppercuts from the midway point. Masterpiece

                  5. L 12 Marcos Maidana

A close points loss against one of the strongest, biggest punching hard cases in the game after a long tough career and a few easy touches back from retirement. People were genuinely worried Morales' warrior spirit would get him seriously hurt against the Argentine. Erik turned back the clock and at times gave the younger man a boxing lesson, even hurting Maidana on occasion. All the more impressive when u consider Morales' eye was badly damaged from round one on.

                  6. Daniel Zaragoza
                  7. Marco Antonio Barrera (2nd fight)
                  8. Wayne McCulloch
                  9. Junior Jones
                  10. Jesus Chavez
U gents agree with these ratings?

It doesn't matter how Cano turns out. With no experience against decent comp he was not only undeserving, but unqualified. Like I said earlier, If the WBC had any dignity they would have left the title vacant until they could get two WORTHY fighters in there. But they wanted Morales to win and they wanted their sanctioning fees.

Good breakdown but I think Morales wins over Zaragoza, Jones and Mcullough are better than his win to Ayala and loss to Maidana.

I don't think Morales is slow either.
