I think we can all agree that the belt he is holding right now isn't worth much. He showed that he still has some fight left in him against Maidana though. Then again so did Carlos Palomino at almost 50 years of age against Wilfredo Rivera. I guess it speaks as much about the level of the contenders as it does of the aging legends.

If they're going to hand out paper belts then Morales is the right choice. He deserves everything he gets.

No it aint. And the reason it aint, is because of the world INTERIM. Which indicates that the title isnt a true world title.

Well, what do u know, Palomino really did fight Rivera at 49...interesting, didn't know that. Rivera was underated, dontcha think? I mean, not HOF material but certainly a talented boxer.

No. Other than giving a past prime Pernell Whitaker a tough fight in their first meeting what did Rivera accomplish that would make him "underrated?"

He also koed Livingstone Bramble in 3. Not a PRIME Bramble but nevertheless, Bramble was a tough customer. Even a young Kostya Tszyu couldn't take him out. He gave a prime Mosley a tough fight too and dropped Vargas.

You claimed he was "underrated". How is he "underrated" and how would you rate him opposed to how he is rated? None of what you mentioned amounts to much.
