Foreman got his eye cut by an elbow from sparring partner Bill McMurray,it happened on the 17th of September 3 WEEKS after he had arrived in Zaire. The fight was postponed for six weeks.
Foreman 's first accommodation in Zaire was in an old Army base but he soon moved to a suite in the Intercontinental Hotel.Foreman hired the men who guarded him in the hotel suite.All this is in his autobiography.By George.

You must have a bad memory. Foreman’s stock took a massive hit in the Lyle fight after Ali. The later 5 hw in one night only raised the ridicule on Foreman. I remember it. Foreman was considered a joke. And then he lost to Young and found Jesus. Amen.
