There are two things I have no confidence regarding: My ability to do a list... I always forget and some guys its so hard to put in, etc... Saying anyone is "the best" at anything.

lets take two names and two punches: Jones:Ali Hook:Jab. Both of these guys had off the charts physical abilities and used the punch described in the same order next to their names. Does this mean they had a great "Hook" or "Jab"? Or that they were great fighters who utilized a punch?

I have seen textbook hooks from Morrison, and wide looping hooks from Cooney both have success...but in fundamentally different means of success. Cooney had a set of moving off line to set up his hook and Tommy could turn it over in a flash... Dempsey wrote the book on punching... His hook was the proverbial "in the phonebook" with nbo telegraph... meanwhile Frazier used the hook his way,

According to War Room Left Hook Lacey was my guy! So lets be nice here and say by far... Left Hook Lacy had the most incredible hook ever... proof being: he named himself after it see?

Well Onomatopoeia works best... considering the sound of a blow and all... but when all else fails? alliteration ain't half bad!

Frazier wore you down, he didn't spark many opponents with one shot.He was an attrition puncher.
Great hookers of the lower divisions would include.

Actually, the lead hook, which is the left hook for orthodox fighters isn't a power punch. As a knockout punch, the perfect lead hook is meant to be quick, with velocity left to right, catching the opponent on the lower part of the left side of his jaw, near the mouth/chin, causing a contrecoup brain injury. Whereas Frasier was a body puncher, and wore opponents down that way, the brutal beating he put on one ribs and stomach dropped their guard, opening them up for his devastating hook. Although when thrown correctly, the velocity along with the angle it travels gives it fight ending power, it's technically not a "power punch". JMHO

A left hook thrown from an orthodox fighter lands on the lower part of the left side of an opponents jaw? A hook that ko's you is a power punch . Exponents of this have been far too many to include all of them here,eg Fitzsimmons.Jeffries,Dempsey, Robinson,Tua,Trinidad,Jones Jnr,Mattysse,Pacquiao,Stevenson,Foster.Being just a sample.

it is considered a power punch. And the right hook to the head for the longest time wasn’t even a punch because it requires body mechanics that don’t really work. To the body they also threw it palm down on floating rib.

the left hook is considered a power punch. And even when they tally on punch stats, the left hook is included in the power punches category. The jab is the only non “power punch” as it is an arm punch.
