I was on the "Liston-Holmes" thread talking about the "jab", which I believe Holmes was the best ever. It made me think of another punch. Who had the best hook ever.
So I'll start it off by choosing Frazier. The power he had in his lead hook was amazing.

Not for me,of the heavyweights, I think its overated for power.What Frazier had was the ability to fire it, reload and fire it again and continue to do so which made it so effective.Dempsey''s hook was more powerful imo as was Wlad's and Liston's,Louis; hook is often underated too.
Frazier wore you down, he didn't spark many opponents with one shot.He was an attrition puncher.

There's no fighting in the war room, as was said in Dr. Strangelove. Anyway I go with Joe Frazier. Roy Jones had such a fast stinging hook in his prime that he used to lead with it even more often than the jab, so I liked his too.
