Bruno had the guts to fight a prime Mike Tyson and the guts to take him on a 2nd time in 96 but Lennox Lewis wanted nothing to do with the "still dangerous" Tyson in 1996 so he baulked on a guaranteed Title fight and a career highest purse and accepted a meagre $3 million step-a-side money and waited another 6yrs for Tyson to completely self-destruct...

Frank Bruno is idolized by the British people whereas Lennox Lewis is reviled by them
how does tyson's people paying lewis money to not fight tyson equate to lewis ducking tyson. Logic says its the other way around. If he didnt take the money who says tyson team would have let lewis fight him. They's just dump the belt and fightfor a different one.

Lewis people tried to pay David Tua step-a-side money but Tua said "no thanks" he wanted the title fight so the Lewis camp had to go ahead with it

[QUOTE=sonnyboyx2;5952000]you claim Lewis fought for the biggest $$$$ a Lewis vs Hide fight was "Battle of Britain" and a big money fight..
          /QUOTE]

Are you serious with this Hide nonsense? Last fight I remember him having a fight was in that boxing hotspot Turkey.
Where were they going to hold it I know Hide can nearly fill Dagenham in Britain.

You said he was slipping I pointed out he was unbeaten.

No one knew how much the Tyson fights had taken out of Ruddock until the Lewis fight onwards.
You was at the fight? You must have thought as many others did that Ruddock had a legitimate chance of beating Lewis, you sure as hell wasn't there to cheer on Lennox was you? I mean you could have saved your money and gone to see Herbie in Norwich you would have been sure to get a ticket.

yes i was there to cheer on Lennox Lewis and it was a great evening, electrifying in Earls Court, `Ruddock had a huge motor home parked outside` but watching Ruddock`s body language coming to the ring sent out distress signals, he was never in the fight and admitted so in several interviews at ringside afterwards, i also was at the Lewis vs Bruno fight in Cardiff where i and most of the crowd thought Lewis was a very fortunate winner, i was then at ringside at Wembley Arena in 94 when McCall poleaxed Lewis, i knew that night that Lewis was `nothing special` he had to be helped down the ring-steps by his handlers and as he came by me i could see that his eyes was still Glass and this was some 5 minutes after being `wacked by McCall.. from that night onwards Lewis avoided every fighter who was at the top of their game, he only ever fought mediocre opponents or fighters who was on the slide, he never fought Hide, Moorer, Ruiz, Byrd, Jones jr, Sanders, Foreman, Holmes, Witherspoon, Holyfield, Tyson 96 because they was too dangerous, he only fought the class C fighters Botha, Grant, Mavrovic, Akinwande, Butler, Fortune, Briggs, Morrison

OK, Lewis Ruddock, honestly, you did not believe that Ruddock was shot when you bought your ticket did you?
Bruno fought the fight of his life against Lewis IMO, Lewis was poor but he won, just like he did against Vitali, you have to give him credit for that.
McCall caught Lewis good and proper no doubt of that, not many fighters would have walked through that punch though would they?
Many of the names you mention such as Grant, Mavrovic were I agree found to be second class but when Lewis fought them they were unbeaten so you cannot honestly say an unbeaten fighter is on the slide surely?
You would not call Herbie Hide mediocre then? What in his career has made you think he would stand an earthly against Lewis? Don't slag off Lewis give me the insight into Hide's career that makes you think he is anything other than mediocre?
Now you are throwing Foreman's name in? How about Joe Frazier?

Does that not tell you that everything i have said about the career of Lennox Lewis is 100% correct
not one single reply to my posts has querried anything i have said on the choice of Lewis opponents etc etc
nope, your claims are just to ridiclous to be able to argue with you, those two things was the only stuff even half sane from you. How do you expect anyone to argue with you about Lennox Lewis ducking Trevor Berbick? With a guy like you its impossible, not because you have any facts or backing for your statements but because you are a diluded hater that makes stuff up. Honestly though I think you are just trolling especcially after seeing that highlighted sentence. You think Lennox Lewis ducked Herbie Hide and was no better than Frank Bruno and say these are facts among other things, sorry but I just can't take you seriously anymore. Nobody here agrees with you does that not tell you that everything you have said is 100% wrong. You are the only one beleiving all that bull**** and nobody else seem to agree with you or back up your claims that Lewis ducked all those fighters and was no better than Bruno. Basicly you are just making **** up with no proof or backing from anyone else.

Hide has always been mediocre, i always knew he was a KO waiting to happen just like Hatton was.. But that does not take away the fact that Lennox Lewis wanted nothing to do with the then undefeated Hide and chose to fight Butler & Fortune instead

as for undefeated fighters Peter McNeally was undefeated when he fought Tyson but everyone knew he was a joke, and i knew that Michael Grant posed zero threat to Lennox Lewis but John Ruiz & Chris Byrd posed a huge threat to Lewis and Lewis knew that
