Lewis had lost his WBC title to Oliver McCall and Rid**** Bowe had lost his 2 titles to Evander Holyfield... Lewis wanted nothing to do with Hide or Bowe claiming he was consentrating on regaining the WBC Title... we all know what a complete "FARCE" that turned out to be because that is what this thread is all about McCall v Lewis (2)

Evander Holyfield was not shot give me a break he was a little past prime but not even close to being shot. the holyfield lewis beat was more prime than the holmes that tyson beat. holmes was ring rusty after a 2 year lay off and he had lost his 2 previous fights.

a SHOT fighter is someone like Evander Holyfield is NOW or how Roy jones Jr was in the Calzaghe fight, thats being SHOT. Holyfield was still very much game when he fought Lewis, yes past prime but not SHOT. you dont now the MEANING of the word SHOT. SHOT and PAST PRIME is 2 completley differnet things.

and yes the Holyfield in the Lewis fight was less past prime than the Holmes in the tyson fight. Larry Holmes was 39 years old, coming of a 2 year layoff and lost his 2 last fights versus Michael Spinks. while Evander Holyfield had beaten Mike Tysonx2 and Michael Moorer and was on a winning streak and held the WBA and IBF titles when he fought Lennox Lewis.
