Lewis fought for $$$$$ why on earth would he fight Hide?
Hide's family wouldn't pay to see Hide fight. America wont want to see it so that leaves the U.K. who arn't interested either.
Fighters fight for cash and/or glory none of which is coming with a Herbie Hide fight.
The only 2 legitimate fighters Hide has fought were Bowe and Vitali both of which hammered him like a tent peg

Lewis claimed he had no interest in fighting Jones... Lewis ran scared from a $30 million payday to face Vitali Klitschko in a return fight...

Vitali Klitschko stepped in as a late replacement and was though to have `No chance` against Lewis yet only a "deliberate" Headbutt saved Lewis from almost curtain defeat

After Bowe-Holyfield I and Lewis-Ruddock, Bowe vs Lewis was the biggest heavyweight fight to be made. Bowe chose to ditch his belt and instead defended against two journeymen. Only Sonnyboy thinks that equates to Lewis ducking Bowe.

I don't give Lewis any credit for beating Tyson, whether or not Holyfield was prime is a debate, he was however the man who had beaten Tyson twice and revenged against Moorer so was a live body.

As for your fighters on the slide, Grant, Mavrovich and Akinwande were unbeaten so if they were on the slide you must have quite an eye.

Tua had lost one fight 3 years previously Butler was undefeated for 4 years.
Golota had lost 2 on DQ against Bowe and had the best of those fights.
Ruddock had lost 2 in 7 years to a pretty good Tyson, many would say that apart from Douglas had probably put up as good a showing as had been seen against Tyson.

Like I say I am not a particularily huge fan of Lewis but I am a big fan of facts. You obviously have a beef against Lewis so are twisting the truth rather than revealing it.

Grant had been exposed by Golota getting floored and taking a beating before Golota quit..Grant had not beaten a single name opponent that qualified him for a title fight, John Ruiz who had beaten Holyfield and floored Holyfield was the official No1 contender but Lewis refused to fight him..

Mavrovich was a Class C European who was unworthy of a World Title fight yet Lewis struggled for 12rds with him.

Akinwande was a 8/1 dog against Lewis and had struggled with mediocre opposition like Johnny Nelson, Axel Shultz and Jimmy Thunder.

David Tua was the fattest man to EVER fight for the title

Lionel Butler had lost Half of his career fights and was no more than a very poor journeyman, for you to claim otherwise is laughable

Ruddock had just been "Brutally" beaten twice by Mike Tyson, their 2nd fight Ruddock took a ferocious beating getting his jaw and check-bone broken... i was at the fight Ruddock offered nothing` because he was "Damaged Goods"

CORRECT .... the Bowe camp then tried to re-arrange the fight in 95 but Lewis baulked..... he Baulked because he had never wanted to fight Rid**** Bowe, Lewis `priced himself out` of fighting Bowe in 93 by demanding a 50/50 purse split and options should he lose, with the Heavyweight Champion of the world

Hide won the WBO title knocking out Michael Bent, Bent had just KOd Tommy Morrison in the opening round, Hide repeatedly called out Lennox Lewis on British TV.. Lewis had lost his WBC title to Oliver McCall and Rid**** Bowe had lost his 2 titles to Evander Holyfield... Evander Holyfield was not shot give me a break he was a little past prime but not even close to being shot. the holyfield lewis beat was more prime than the holmes that tyson beat. holmes was ring rusty after a 2 year lay off and he had lost his 2 previous fights.
