those guys drove away , we ran to our car to chase them.

we were chasing them several blocks before he said anything.

we were like "you serious?"

we didn't believe it. because we thought he was just fine.



trust me it's not like the movies. where they get hit and they scream and fall down.

i had one friend get shot in the ass outside of a carnival.

he drove a stickshift. no one else knew how to drive stick.

he had to drive himself to the hospital.

btw side note. you know our soldiers have been complaining about the stopping power of our m-16's since vietnam all the way to now in iraq and afghanistan.

the slug cracked his hip , bounced off hit his leg and then skidded and hit his testicles.

the guy didn't even know he got shot. he ran to the car like nothing was wrong. no one even thought of anything until a few minutes later we were in the car and he was like "i think i need to go to the hospital"

my other friend got hit with 9mm in the foot. again it took him several minutes to realize there was something wrong with his foot.

my other friend got shot in the back while riding in the car. he was fine. he was just telling everyone else in the car he thinks it was a minor wound. he was talking to everyone up until they got him to the hospital.

when i got a call , everyone there wasn't even that worried. they thought since he was fine in the car that it wasn't that serious. next call i got he was dead.

handgun is just not strong enough. it'll kill you but it won't stop you in your tracks right away. human body is very resilient especially with adrenaline and fear , anger or whatever.

If the .45 slug bounced off and hit his leg it means only one thing... it hit the hip bone. Anyone, I mean anyone would be stopped with that shot...

If your story did happen, it is one for the books. Is there any official story (police or hospital) regarding this incident? Where and when?

I surely would like to know. Gun enthusiasts and ammo experts would be very interested too.

These are very probable with small caliber and round ball ammo. There are a lot of similar stories by law enforcement agencies all throughout the world. This is why most of them shifted back to .357 & .45. Those who prefer 9mm switched to using JHP or jacketed hollow points to increase stopping power.

Some FBI units prefer the 10mm and are using round ball but this is mainly because they want penetration over stopping power.

You might not get an assault charge, but you'll still get a brandishing charge......and if you killed them.......manslaughter.

Either way you're facing a year in jail or more.
