He was guilty of being a cherrypicking champion but he fought legit top 5 contender Ortiz so nobody should complain about that. If he continues to defend his title against top contenders I have no problem with him. I think he is a loud mouthed bragging ignorant jerk but that's not unusual in boxing today. He does no harm and he is fun to watch and keeps the heavyweights interesting. Nobody is forced to watch him. He knocks everybody out so far and that's a good thing.

Along with that nearly 700k views on showtime FOR AN AFTERNOON FIGHT!!! Wow
Then he also got 10 million views in Germany which is the highest ever for a heavyweight fight.
Sure wilder getting 1 million free views on showtime is impressive but then again john ****ing Ruiz pulled in 600k ppv buys back in 2002.
Wilder is vastly unproven as a ppv star and he's demanding things from AJ who is the biggest name in the hw division
This is not hate chulo this is the truth
When you factor in 1.5 million PPV ( his best #) in the uk and factor in the price they were going for and do a comparison to the price of a US PPV and include the exchange rate it brings in around the same as a US PPV doing 450-500k which is good but not earth shattering
So his fights bring in $ wise around 200-500k us PPVs. That’s why AJ and his team want in the US market
But to become a star in the states he’ll have to fight Wilder first ( the most popular American HW ) so yeah Wilder hasn’t sold a PPV but his name along with his strap means he has some leverage

1.5 million buys is 1.5 million buys.
It's not 200k or 500k or whatever number you try and make it. It's still 1.5 million buys.
You're comparing a market that AJ hasn't sold ppvs in and speculative based on your unsubstantiated opinion.
1.5 million is 1.5 million.
Real talk.

Yeah 1.5 might be more impressive # but financially it brings in the same as 450-500k US PPV and that’s his highest the rest probably do the equivalent of 200-300k which is good but not great
I get it you like AJ and don’t like Wilder but when you start a thread he’s a hype job and can’t sell or no one cares that isn’t the truth when you compare him to every other American boxer you come across as a whiny b.itch

Was AJ that big of a name before Wlad? Since PPV draw seems to be the metric for measuring a fighter, how big was he?

By your argument the only who is worth a damn is Canelo because he can sell PPVs
Even AJ who does crazy #s in the Uk when you factor in the price of the PPV and exchange rate he brings in the equivalent of around 250-450K US PPV that’s not exactly earth shattering
Again stop acting like a f.aggot because you don’t like him

Take into account the comparitive population size of the UK vs US ...
