Why do people hate Floyd so much?

I am fine with people not liking Floyd the boxer or Floyd the individual. The issue is the utterly ******ed things people come up with to denigrate his career.
We know these things are ******ed because the instant a fan of Floyd analyzes a fighter using the same criteria, NSB sounds off about it and how unfair it is.

When discussing Floyd, we leave out the facts about the guys that chose not to or waited to fight him. We make up ridiculous things like "the offer was a duck move" and we place blame in one direction.
When a Floyd fan brings this up about other guys, then suddenly we have factual discussions that clarify why a fight didn't happen. No point-finances, logistics, politics, etc-is left out of the discussion.
There are other which we have discussed before.
I get it, people want to knock Floyd down because they do not like him. I get he isn't going to get the benefit of the doubt that others get. But creating ridiculous criteria and false narratives is a little much.

Honestly, all I wanted was for Floyd to fight/go toe-to-toe, that's it and I'd call him one of the greatest.
I put him in the same league as Oscar De La Hoya, great boxers that could of been so much more.

because he was confident in himself and his ability and made it known... not the best thing to do for someone of his HUE

They hate that Floyd beat their favorite fighters. They said he would duck, Floyd signs to fight, they pick Floyd's opponent by T/KO usually, Floyd wins a wide UD, then they bring up excuses to diminish the win, and move on to the next guy hoping Floyd would lose. The same type of clowns have been exposed in the Mayweather hit list thread.
Lots are just racist. I always got accused of beingjust for being a Floyd fan. I am far from that "demographic"
.

WHY? QUOTE]
Would be real curious to see how many of these fighters are these posters have in the past or are currently prepared to discredit, personally and more importantly, as fighters, because of it.

1. Floyd intentionally played the heel role in order to sell his fights. Ancient promotional technique. Why is Floyd PPV star while a other excellent black HOF boxers, e.g. Tim Bradley, are unknown? Playing the role of the heel.
2. He's also not that great a guy in real life. Went to jail for an altercation with baby mama or gf, whoever.
3. Didn't always face the best opponents. I think over all he faced as many top guys versus easy fights as any other star, but it's something you could argue.
4. Boring fighter. If you're a boxing purist, sure you can appreciate how good he was, but he didn't put on much of a show for casual fans. The older he got the more he relied on clinching, which really the refs shouldn't even be allowing. Boxing purists should be upset by the clinching as much as anyone.
5. Doping allegations. Mayweather insisted on a doping company that was essentially in his pocket, rather than the universal VADA standard. He determined when doping began as he controlled when he would announce his fights, giving him an easy way to cycle doping periods.
6. Racism. For some people could be an issue, racism sure seems to come up a lot in boxing forums, youtube.
I had a seventh as well but I forgot it. Personally I don't dislike him as much as I once did, but I can still see a lot of reasons people may feel that way.
