Floyd was never one of my favorite fighters but you have to respect his ability and accomplishments.

However, he has proven to be a horrible human being. He has several domestic violence incidents. You can't just say "Oh, the woman is just after him for his money" every time. This started before he was even making serious money. Is Bill Cosby completely innocent too? Lebron has hundreds of millions of dollars too. Does he have repeat accusers? Also, his comments throughout the years about women, further show that he only thinks of them as property that he buys with gifts and money, but then won't allow them any type of freedom. He's sick. He has extreme insecurity issues when it comes to women, other boxers, anyone else receiving attention or praise, etc.

The people who raised Floyd obviously caused a lot of his mental/emotional issues, so he is not completely at fault, but he should have at least tried to find professional help by now.

I don't hate the way Floyd boxes, there is much to admire in his technique and skill.

My issue is more around his personality. He is a pretty ****ty human being and while his arrogance in a boxing ring I can live with, the blatant, narcissistic vulgar displays of his wealth and how he squanders it is pretty distasteful.

Oh, and the racism and beating up women...

you know, this stuff doesn't seem to bother floyd mayweather, as much as it bothers his supporters...
he still makes countless vids on his place in boxing, and everything else in between...some ppl are gonna roll with everything from his point of view, and some are going to have a difference of opinion...

He bragged too much for some people, even though being a bragger is typical of many great boxers. He also had several issues with women where he laid his hands on them, people don't forgive that easily nowadays. If this were before the 80s no one would even have heard about it.

As far as his boxing goes, people like sluggers, the Floyd that most fans know is really a defensive genius. Most of his haters never saw him fight at 140 and below where he was much more offensive and exciting.

As for his opponent selection, he's always been about getting paid. He begged Shane and Oscar for a chance to fight them for a long time because he wanted to get paid. That's what really has always driven him, getting paid for what he does.

As far as ducking, that holds no water, his resume is loaded and he almost always fought guys who were coming off career wins or big win streaks. The names people wanted to see on his resume that aren't there, aren't there for good reason. None of the Featherweight Mexicans would fight him, he called out Morales and Berrera among others. They wanted nothing to do with Floyd at 130. HBO wasn't going to let he and Tszyu fight, I would have loved to see that. Paul Williams was never an option because there was no money in it. He fought Baldomir rather than Margarito, that's about the only "real" criticism people can come up with although Baldomir was the champ and on a long win streak. People said he ducked Cotto, well, it took all of a few weeks to make a fight with Cotto after Cotto left Arum. Arum was always standing in the way.

The Pacquaio saga has been discussed to death, they eventually fought.

And a lot of the hate is just that hate, they hate Floyd because he beat their favorite fighter after they said he'd never even fight them. The fact that he's only had two close fights his entire career and he gave those guys immediate rematches is ignored instead of praised.

Floyd is 49-0, he fought 26+ World Champions, that is an awful lot of great fighters he risked taking on.

beating women would be a great place to start and finish the discussion of why floyd mayweather is "hated."

i understand that you have love for this guy that makes you completely irrational, but at least try and be objective.

Floyd fans are two faced. They criticise PACs win over Barrera claiming Barrera wasnpt in prime and had wars with morales even though Barrera was on 8 fight win streak and PFP no1 or 2 depending g on who u spoke to.? Yet praise food for beati g past prime coming off o !y one good win v margarito.
Baldomir on long win streak? Yes, but it was only baldomir. Hardly Barrera is he. Floyd fans don't care about Barrera win streask do they?

Most of the clowns using his domestic violence issues to hate his boxing career are the same ones that love Lampley. You got Floyd haters that love Tyson, a damn rapist! Floyd haters that like Valero, who killed his wife. Monzon fans... but it's the domestic violence doe. Tons of boxers committed domestic violence.

They hate that Floyd beat their favorite fighters. They said he would duck, Floyd signs to fight, they pick Floyd's opponent by T/KO usually, Floyd wins a wide UD, then they bring up excuses to diminish the win, and move on to the next guy hoping Floyd would lose. The same type of clowns have been exposed in the Mayweather hit list thread.

Lots are just racist. I always got accused of being just for being a Floyd fan. I am far from that "demographic" .

Responding to a poster isn't a prima facie indication that the responder is bothered or upset.

I am fine with people not liking Floyd the boxer or Floyd the individual. The issue is the utterly ******ed things people come up with to denigrate his career.

We know these things are ******ed because the instant a fan of Floyd analyzes a fighter using the same criteria, NSB sounds off about it and how unfair it is.
