Why do people hate Floyd so much?

Because he badly damaged the sport and doesn´t even care about it. It was all about money and self-adulation from the get-go.

thats a good way of putting it. he saw that he could use his built in american fanbase and hype to make big money. he had to take some calculated risks of course but he was never trying to prove he was the best apart from saying it constantly. when he saw an easy mark he took him down, when he saw a dangerous guy he avoided them(until less dangerous) not the kind of thing im looking for in sport but unfortunately boxing is extremely flawed.

Once again blaming Floyd for ODH, Shane, Manny, cotto, Kosta, Hamed not fighting him or waiting until after their prime to fight him.

Perhaps the reason he made so much money is because casual fans decided to pay to see the guy all these prime future HOF'ers was avoiding.

Loma showboats and talks about beating guys... He's on a journey to be great (which I actually agree with), Floyd does it and he's a ****y "thug". My problem is the inconsistency. Users on here criticize a fighter for one thing and then support another fighter FOR DOING THE SAME EXACT THING. It's truly disgusting

Never hated him as a boxer. I liked watching him when he was younger. Loma reminds me alot of young Mayweather, it was beautiful to watch. Injuries forced him to change his style and me to lose interest. It was effective but mind numbing to watch. He was an ****** outside the ring to a degree but I think that was part of the money persona along with claiming he was TBE which is laighable. Then there was the legal trouble but I tend to give dudes the benefit of the doubt when a woman is involved. I wonder have had to been there and seen how **** went down to condemn the dude.

Sure he was ****y....BUT WHO THE HELL WOULD RAISE A CHILD AND TELL THEM NOT TO BE CONFIDENT OR ****Y??( believe in yourself) thats what parents tell their kids..all he did was train and try to be the best boxer he could be since he could walk!!!.. He fought he best of the best of his era thru 5 divisions and love or hate him he was an artist in the ring

Before I state why, NO, I do not hate Floyd as a boxer, and recognize him as a top 5 ATG.

But, here's why:

1.) He has beat females on more than one occasion; on one particular occasion, he did it in front of their kids. In Western society, American society in particular, real men are raised and taught to never put your hands on a female (obviously certain exceptions if your life is actually in threat of being harmed). In Floyd's case, none applied. He was simply jealous.

2.) He is very immature. He cheats and sleeps around, yet acts betrayed when his baby mothers, and girlfriends do the same. He thinks a double standard should be applied to him.

3.) He has said racist remarks such as "white people had to create MMA because they couldn't compete in boxing"?!? WTF?!?! Has he actually looked around boxing? there's just as many top tier White fighters as any other race? And MMA is based on martial arts mostly created by NON-WHITES.
