golovkin's insistence on 160 is his way of declining a fight with canelo. we can play this game all day. the fight does not have to be EXACTLY 160, that's BS. golovkin can drop to 155 just fine and beat canelo, so why all the fuss. this fight not happening doesn't hurt canelo one bit. it hurts cotto even less since he's already HOF status.

EXACTLY 160 is the sanctioned limit of every MW title fight. Catchweights are a separate, personal arrangement between the 2 fighters. If one fighter doesn't want a catchweight, it's either exactly 160 or no fight.

Those are the rules of boxing.

He will go down in history as the guy who Vacated the MW strap and Lineal so he didn't have to fight GGG.

I don't support any fight that has a fighter drop down in weight, it's a cardinal sin in boxing to do. But Canelo already said himself that he doesn't want to give an unfair weight advantage to anyone like he did when he fought Floyd at the 52 catch-weight. Canelo would give GGG the weight advantage if they fought right now since Canelo has never fought or weigh in at 160 lbs before. I don't understand why people aren't getting this yet, either they're trolling, haters, fanboys or just ****** (and I'm not saying you btw). Canelo-3G is a super fight for the future as soon as Canelo's body is acclimated for 160.

That's the issue. Canelo is a MW already. He Rehydrates higher than GGG.

His body isn't gonna be more MW. What he really means is when GGG gets old.

Canelo has four fights, two years, at 155. MW is 155-160.
