All is fair if they come in on the weight they agree to on the contract. COTTO WAS THE BIGGER GUY WHEN HE FUAGHT PACQUIAO AND STILL GOT HIS ASs BEAT DOWN, SO DONT GIVEN ME THIS CRAP about WEIGHT AND SIZE.. every fighter has his strength, weaknesses advantages and disadvantages just like if it was a street fight, so learn to except that it won't always be perfect

Umm, NO. NOT REALLY. I get the biz part of boxing but it is still supposed to be a sport. Fans want to know who the best is and if boxing just becomes a free for all where CWs rule instead of being the exception then we might as well switch the lights out.

De La Hoya was actually smaller than Hopkins, they needed a CW to make it fair.

Canelo was just trying to weaken GGG, they Rehydrates same weight. Actually, Canelo Rehydrates bigger than GGG.

Canelo has now said he won't fight GGG until the future. He never wanted this.

GGG will KO him, and Canelo will only fight him when he gets older or drain him.

What more is there to discuss.



Floyd is a 147 fighters, GGG was making it fair. How is that the same.

I wouldn't even worry about...if canelo don't want to fight golovkin that's the way it is.....he will be stripped and triple GGG gets the WBC title ...then he gets the WBO and he is undisputed champion...a small story broke today is that froch could be up for golovkin next year....canelo probably realises he can't win against golovkin and he wants to keep a good thing going.......if was I gennady golovkin once he wins the title give canelo the 157 catchweight offer....another years time your also have spence lurking around the high end of the jnr middleweights as well......

If fighters don't fear fighting Canelo why it take Cotto 3 yrs to finally accept the fight. If you believe Stevens, Monroe, Rubio, Lemieux and Murray are all world beaters then you don't know ***** about boxing. Again, Lil G already said 164lbs catchweight or no fight to Ward what makes you think he'll change his mind after unifying titles? lil G is contempt fighting scrubs he wont even face Lara after he called out his @ss. Over the last three years, Cotto was in bigger fights than Canelo at the time. He had Sergio and Floyd on the ledger. Canelo is now big money and status raising. 3 years ago, he was an undercard fighter to Cotto.

Criticize Cotto all you want - but by and large, he fights the fights when they're relevant

No one forced Canelo to fight for the MW strap.

Even worse, he won't say he is going to vacate.

Look at you getting your panties in a bunch. Dropping F-bombs. I am not saying GGG has fought HOF fame type fighters. What I am saying is that there is a reason why guys don't get in the ring with him & avoid him. He was after Martinez when he was the champ, but couldn't get the fight. Quillen wants none of him. GGG was 345-5 in the amateurs and is an undefeated pro, but you're right...he is a total hype job. Do you spend any time researching what trainers and other fighters say about him being the real deal? You really didn't bring up Lara did you? All Lara brings to the table are his track shoes. I would think that if Lara really wanted GGG he would call him out at a post-fight press conference like he did Canelo. If Angulo could put a beating on him, GGG will kill him. I agree with almost everything you said.

I'd like to see GGG test himself at one point, but not before he does some things. First, he needs to get his props at MW. He needs to get this Pretender Canelo to bug off, and show his ass to the world.

Once GGG has dominated all foes from MW and those who come up from Jr.MW, like Andrade, who already rehydrates up to 170. Then he can go for career defining test.

As for Ward being favored. I see it as a 50/50, with GGG likely getting the TKO. I think that could go either way. Ward has his tricks, but I do not think he can stand up to the kind of beating GGG would put him through. If Ward can make it 12, then he has the best chance.

He should, he outweighs GGG by at least 15 pounds.

However, I do not see it happening. GGG is not going up to LHW, and I do not see Ward ever coming down to meet smaller guys.

I dont think Lara deserves the fight. He called Canelo out and then ran the entire time. He showed us he does not come to fight. GGG doesn't owe him a chance to run all night.
