He knows this is his most serious test since coming back, so its natural he is a little apprehensive. I think the guy is a tool, but he is a great fighter and this pressure will more than likely bring the best out in him. He knows he is in a fight here.

Put it this way, when Cotto, Mayweather, Williams, Margarito, Quintana, Mosley and all those guys were at their best at 147, Hatton was the weakest link.
I'm not sure if you were saying Cotto avoided fighting Hatton or what, but given the guys he's faced, Hatton wasn't avoided.

just like Floyd was terrified when Mosley confronted him in the JMM post fight? People always say this about Floyd. IDK what people are seeing. You can tell the difference between when someone is scared or when they are just trying to act like you are irrelevant. He did the exact same thing to Ortiz. He wasnt fidgity.
It was the same as the Ortiz faceoff when he was looking all around when Ortiz was talking. Then Max would ask him about what Ortiz said and Floyd was like "oh, I wasnt paying attention". Then the next time Ortiz talked he started asking Max about his shoes.
It was the same thing he was trying to do this time. Why cant people see that. He doesnt hate Cotto enough to flat out diss him and he's older now so he's not going to go the route he did with Oscar anyways. This is his new style, atleast until he fights someone who starts trashing him.
Then after he kills Cotto, they will say something different just like they did after he killed Mosley. Someone in this thread also said that Floyd dint wanna face Cotto. He wanted Saul but it didnt work. Thats the same thing Mosley said about Floyd. That he didnt want the fight and was forced into it.
No matter what happens in this fight, I think you will see by the way Floyd fights that he has absolutely no fear of Cotto. He might lose, it might be close, or he might destroy him, but you will know by the way he's fighting him that he has no fear of himLast edited by DLT; 04-04-2012, 05:51 PM.

nah he didnt seem shook at all to me man.. basically he was more concerned about losing 100k.. he done face offs and hbo 24/7 so many times now its really just become a routine.. floyd seemed very relaxed in there to me.. i mean way too relaxed in fact.. it was kinda boring as a result, there was no tension in the air at all other than a 100k bet..
