Well put...I don't agree with Floyd avoiding this and that, but not here to argue all that. I love matchups like this because they're big names and they have a ton of championship experience
Cotto has played a part in so many great fights there is no doubt that he will make this one with Floyd eventful. While Cotto has taken his damage over the years...you still don't always come out of a fight with a guy like Cotto the same yourself.
Yes Cotto is a solid opponent but to say that "Cotto is undefeated in his eyes" because he had to weigh in 1lb less than he previous fight against Pac is a bit of a stretch.
We should just be greatful Floyd isnt in denial Cotto has been beat down twice in his career as well though.
I didn't get that at all. Seemed to me that he was supremely confident. There were times where he appeared to be rolling his eyes mentally. I think he believes he's going to flatten KO. IDK I'm not a expert at these things. I thought Cotto was very confident as well.

Both friendly and confident, it's hard to trash talk a guy like Cotto who's so respectful and professional (unless you're Margarito).
Neither guy seemed nervous one bit, I think they have tons of respect for each other and are just ready to get in the ring. Wouldn't be suprised if they become friends or even business partners after this fight.
I think it will. I don't think Floyd thinks that and I think he's going to try to stop Cotto. It's why he wants the 8oz gloves IMO. He will come forward knowing that there are holes in Cotto's defense and that his confidence may waver if he's hurt and catches flashbacks. God forbid he gets cut too. However, I think Cotto's plan will be to move some and make Floyd use his legs and not give him too many opportunities to land in succession. It's a sound strategy and could create problems for Floyd.

Cotto is always confident. I just think he's going to be very limited as to what he's going to be able to do in this fight. He's too slow and his defense is so so. Not a good combination against a guy like Floyd.
Put it this way, when Cotto, Mayweather, Williams, Margarito, Quintana, Mosley and all those guys were at their best at 147, Hatton was the weakest link.
I'm not sure if you were saying Cotto avoided fighting Hatton or what, but given the guys he's faced, Hatton wasn't avoided.
Well he wasn't a genuine 147lb fighter. It was at 140lbs Hatton v Cotto should have been made.
