We had one done a few years ago. The pool itself was like 20k but everything cost around 60k all said and done. My yard was completely on a slope so I had to have retaining walls done and tons of landscaping along with the patio work.

    Came out nice though

An "average" pool is probably a 16x32 rectangle. In KY you can get that, with all the bells and whistles; 8 ft. deep, diving board, slide, etc. for about $35,000. But pools are also built different depending on where you're from. In KY, you're likely going to get a steel wall pool (with step, the wall kit is probably $10k-$15k by itself), with a vinyl liner.

In other areas you're going to see less vinyl liner pools and more concrete or gunite. I've never built a concrete pool so I can't speak too much on the cost. But I do know that concrete is fucking expensive most places.

We're considering building a house here in Vegas, and speaking with the pool companies, it sounds like we're looking at between $40k-$50k for a 16x28. Rectangle. One level, 5 ft deep.
      Thanks for the info

dam it's expensive in Vegas for the pools

It is not only the price of the pool but it needs to be maintained. Also in most places your property taxes go up.

Ive been getting bids on pools for the last 2 weeks. A few things I found out, the Pool industry is the only industry to continue to go up in price annually since the recession. & during this pandemic its busier than ever.

Average pool cost is about 65k.

What it looked like before it developed the leak , never liked the light color also had some wrinkles so it must have been a DIY be the previous homeowners .
