Tom Brady is an excellent athlete whom I respect a great deal. I was going nuts in the SuperBowl RBR thread when he lead that outstanding comeback run.

You deeply wish to believe that I have the same kind of hatred in my heart as you do, but sadly I do not.

Elroy The Great am I wrong or does Freedom cry racism first quite a bit, eh?
imho, theres only a few who cant wait to cry racism and neither of you are guilty of it. again, imho.

While this is true, that the majority of people still believe in god, it is decreasing by a lot every decade. I think as generations come and go, religion/belief in god will go too. I think people of my gen/age passively believe in god because their parents and grandparents/uncles/aunts believe in it strongly, but even that young gen is kinda iffy about it because of the information available today. And this gen, who passively believe in god, will carry on that passive tradition to their kids, and those kids will believe it in god/be religious even to a lesser extent. And so on and so forth. Until it gets to a generation where god is as believable as unicorns, leprechauns and dragons basically.

Crom is strong! If I die, I have to go before him, and he will ask me, 'What is the riddle of steel?' If I don't know it, he will cast me out of Valhalla and laugh at me.

I'm on the agnostic side of the fence most days.

As vast as this universe is, with 100's of billions of galaxies, why would a entity give a flying shit about this little dirtball planet, in a average galaxy, and what happens on it?

Same time, if said entity is Omni-everything, it/that/what could care about what happens to this little dirt ball planet and everything that happens on it.

Or maybe what we consider the afterlife is controlled by nothing more than just a clerical worker at the Universal DMV, and the "big boss" is out destroying evil Marvel characters.

Try to be a decent person, and not just because some Abrahamic text told you to do so.

I don't believe in anything supernatural. You would have to be soft in the head to do so.

Likewise I don't believe in any religion's take on reality. They range from nonsense to ludicrous. Again, only people who are soft in the head believe in them.

However, I do see reality as being my version of god. This is a flavour of pantheism (not the tree-worshipping kind). I get the same kind of enjoyment from reading scientific articles as a religious person gets from church services (or prayer, or raping children, or whatever they do).

                    cyea (cover your eternal ass)

if you go to your deathbed believing in god and you find out he doesnt exist, oh well. no harm no foul. but if there is a god and consequences.....what then

if for no other reason than to save your soul, might as well believe in god/superior being. its not as if god (jesus' dad) is asking us to bomb every fncking thing in sight in his name. all he wants us to do is acknowledge him and his son and to love each other.

                    i dont understand the resistance.
