We're not smart enough to believe or comprehend such a thing. We're also very selfish about life and the universe. At one point we wanted to believe we're the only one's in the universe. We want to live forever, and on top of living forever, we want an afterlife, on top of having an afterlife we want to feel like we were put here for some special reason, by someone else, preferably another humanoid.

Humans can't live their life without accepting they can't know everything. They have to know everything, and if they don't, they have to make stuff up and pretend they know everything like who or what made us, where do we go after we die, what happens if you do bad or good things, who's behind the good and bad that happens to us. I mean talk about 'making stuff up'...god and religion is the epitome of making things up and playing a long winded pretend game.

      How do you know?

I don't understand therefore God did it. lol.

        Exactly.

I kid you not, one of my friends back in high school claimed that God created animals just to be eaten by us, no other reason. They were put here to be treated like **** and then killed for our consumption.

Thats not what I'm saying at all. What I'm saying is that the way everything in the universe coexists, and continues perpetually in harmony suggests that there is intelligent design.

And maybe I overlooked the post, but I don't see your thoughts or opinion posted. It's really easy to question and/or ridicule someone else's perspective. It's not as easy to put your own thoughts or beliefs out there to be scrutinized.

What do you think about the question at hand?

And i'm not even bashing or anything, I acknowledge that curiosity is healthy. It's good to be curious about these questions like are we random, is there a higher being, is there not, are we alone, did some one created the universe or is the universe its own creator like Earth's environment gave life to microbes (who evolved), the universe's environment gave life to stars and planets (who evolved)?

I don't know any of these answers, but i'm not gonna make stuff up to fill in the blanks!

Which makes me agnostic because I can't relate to neither atheists views or believers views.

Atheism doesn't necessarily mean you flat out deny the possibility for the existence of God.

I just don't see any compelling hard evidence, therefore I don't believe in God. I wouldn't rule out the existence of a God if sufficient proof came about.

This is how most atheists see things.

I don't believe in any deity, but I didn't vote in the poll because I don't really have a label for myself in this category. I don't believe in a god, but I'm not going to argue with people that do or try to convince them otherwise. I respect everyone's right to religions beliefs and think if worshiping a god helps a person better themselves and doesn't negatively affect those around them then go for it, regardless of what my beliefs are.

I don't know. I just don't have enough evidence to believe in the existence of a God. There's just as much evidence for the tooth fairy, don't mean to come across as arrogant, but it is what it is.

Do you think that one day it can be known that god exists or that it can never be known if god exists or not? And would you say you don't exactly have disbelief in god but you have no faith in him at the same time?

The tooth fairy? Really? I'm guessing you don't have any kids. Of course, there is a tooth fairy, millions of them. And you can simply look at the work of the too th fairy and surmise that it was deliberate and intentional. That's the same thing I do with EArth and the cosmos. I can see the result and surmise that all of this was done deliberately and intentionally
