What are you going on about? *****'s main interest in Syria is consolidating Assads power which in turn means taking out certain rebel opposition groups to Assad that might or might not have an Isis element. And with the latest reports coming out that is exactly the case. So for you to start a thread which misleads the public by referring to Russia "Destroying Isis in Syria" as if its Russia's sole and honorable purpose to set out an eliminate these *********s is asinine. Russia's purpose in Syria is to consolidate power, it just so happens that destroying elements of ISIS is part of that purpose.

You are still ignoring Isis' significance. Last summer Isis held 35% of Syria. Few months ago some experts believe it's well over 50% now, with over 60% of Syria's oil resources. They steal the wealth, destroy tourist attractions like ancient artifacts, wrecked the infamous Tarmud prison and freed the political prisoners, ruin cities and villages, massacre and enslave the population etc.

Is that not extremely important to Assad's power you goofball? You keep trying to make it sounds like the rebels are the only ones they need to take care of when Isis is a FAR bigger threat to Syia. The FSA aka the poor man's Isis is small fish in comparison, pal.

If Russia is actually there to help Assad's goverment their very main objective is to target Isis, the plague.

We are arguing about the same thing, the only difference is my view (and the correct view) is that Russia is in Syria to consilidate power and strengthen Assad. That means taking out ISIS, FSA, and whatever other groups stand in their way.

Funny thing about the Russian Anthem...lyrics were reintroduced and sponsored into the anthem in 2000 by *****. The 1st verse speaks of "Holy" and "God is mentioned later on. The irony of this is that irreligion was officially state policy in Russia and was brutally enforced for most of the last century and almost 1/2 of it's people even today...irregardless of the recent tolerance for religion...are fearfully atheistic because of Russia's history of religious persecution.
