Mine happened on one of the last days. Had been fine the whole trip so used a factor 20 instead of 50. Was in the pool which masks the burning sensation. Wasn't til I got out I felt it. It's ****ty, I was just OK with travelling a couple of days later. Timing is key. Opposite way of thinking about it in your position is imagine if you were at your worst for the return travel. Kick back and slob it up man!
You used sunblock though, so that probably minimised the damage, while I was essentially BBQ'd by the sun with no marinade for a good 4 hours in the peak heat and ray potency and damage
I'd love to be peeling right now, but I don't think there's any layer underneath this which I could peel down to haha. Essentially i'm -
Be in the club like....'how you doin'?'

In a way I don't mind this as it shows the skin is beginning to step up it's recovery under the damaged layer, but at the same time confirms these were 2nd degree burns...
Will definitely be a lesson for the future.

I think I stayed too long on the beach on the burn day because 3 late teen/early 20s chicks were sunbathing fully naked in a row, set out in a neat pattern of ****, ass, **** next to me.

I feel your pain. I went out with no suncream on one summer and got burnt to a crisp, especially the inside of my arms where it bends. I remember idiotically jumping into the shower and screaming like a little girl no joke and no shame admitting it, I screamed like a b*tch!
