If you were given a steroid cream, that will work better than any natural remedy. Just keep applying it, over the course of the week you will see improvements, it doesn't show results immediately.

Nah, I wouldn't say my skin is blistered, but it is just really red and swollen with some white bumps in some areas but i don't think they are blisters.

Worst thing about this is that i'm on this trip alone so I gotta do all the work myself in terms of going out for medicine, water, food etc...putting on clothes is a chore in itself at the moment lol...

Seriously Aloe Vera is the ****. Yeah those sunburns sound bad, I used to go to the Caribbean every year and from the moment I got off to the plane and got to the hotel I'd already have mild sunburns from not having sunscreen.

Worst thing is you can't go in any hot or even warm water. Good luck man.

          I'd suggest seeing a dermatologist.

The one thing I am precisely trying to avoid unless absolutely necessary lol. If I go to the docs and they deem it necessary for care on-site, then it will **** up my plans, and I may have to do a lot of postponing and re-organisation of this trip.

Hopefully. The ointment itself was just given to me by some young pharmacist chicks who obviously would be worse at making a totally accurate recommendation based on my particular case than if I saw a doc. Another thing I read is that topical creams that just go on to the skin are not particularly effective on moderate to severe burns. I'll keep using it though, and see what happens. But another thing to specify the type of pain and discomfort - I struggle to put on the ointment, especially on my shoulders and chest, without a lot of sensitivity and pain. Annoying as hell.

I wish my hotel room had a bath rather than a shower...the heavy water kills as it hits the skin luckily my back isn't as bad so I can sort of stand like that to prevent the serious pain but still...in relation to aloe vera, i'm not arguing it is good or doesn't help with pain relief and perhaps some inflammation management, but i've read that studies show it doesn't do much in terms of actually aiding overall recovery.

I wouldn't say no, but I don't think that is a possibility right now. Dermatologists as I take it are pretty hard to see on demand and the waiting lists for appointments are really big. I'd say my case is moderate-lower spectrum of severe, but it's only been 2-3 days anyway so I don't think i'd class this as an emergency. Plus, I haven't got healthcare here.

Obviously its up to you to decide how bad it is, but you are high risk for skin cancer right about now if its as bad as you described it!

In south Ukraine, place called Odessa. "The *** capital of Ukraine" Only here till 19th though.

Here's a pic of the small beach near my hotel.

About the chicks, that's basically every pharmacy i've seen here...it's like a pre-requisite of getting a job as a pharmacist that you have to be young, female, and moderately hot (at least)

Man up. Use aloe vera spray with lidocaine. It gets better each day. It will eventually blister. Don't freak out, that means it's healing.
