I promise you the views he promotes here are not practiced by the EDL. Which either makes me think he has a different face for media than he does when at party rallies... or just as likely the EDL is a broad and unorganized group which has Tommy robinson has little real control over, either ideologically or practically.

While viewing the video, I was certainly skeptical of him, as well. Like I previously stated, prior to viewing the video I knew nothing of the 'EDL' or it's ideology. Still, I support their right to exist and voice their opinions so long as they're doing it in a non-violent manner.

Even if they're totally wrong in their approach it still gets the public talking. Talking leads to debate and debate leads to change.

As an American, I also find it hilarious that this well spoken and unassuming dude is the mouthpiece for a supposed hate group. This is what our leaders of hate groups sound like.

It's because the only people that are willing to stand-up against what is happening are your stereotypical football fans. I'd say a high percentage of EDL members fit that description but there are some more 'well mannered' members.

Those that want to voice their opinion against extremists would do well not to align themselves with the EDL because of said reputation. They aren't a political party either like BNP or UKIP.

BNP being your ignorant, doesn't give a fuck, racist political party and EDL being more of a movement. UKIP is like the BNP, just a bit more subtle and upper-class.

Many BNP supporters will also be ardent supporters of the EDL.

To the bolded i competely agree thats what should happen. Unfortunately people are far more interested in being outraged at what he says, even trying to censor him, rather than actually breaking down his arguments and contesting them. I fully agree the EDL have the right to exist.

Tommy Morrison (edit Robinson... thanks Cuauh i spend to much time watching boxing) talks very well, unfortunately as much as he is the public face of EDL, on the streets the EDL does not use this rhetoric. The most you'll get from general EDL members is chants of "E..E..EDL" or "Im England Till I die" all while attacking or harshly provoking ****** communities especially in the midlands and other centers of Asian immigration. Thats not to say say militant ******s arent equally to blame btw.

If Tommy Robinson truly believed what he was saying in videos like this he would spend more time trying to educate his members in the intricacies of his ideology, rather than allowing it to become the paramilitary right wing hate movement that we see on our streets. Because at the moment all his movement is spreading is hate, no matter how eloquently he portrays it in the media.
