Well I don't know much about the EDL because I don't live in England and don't know this Tommy Robinson. What I do get from these interviews that I see, is that there are just as much racist ****** organizations preaching hatred towards the west, ***s and the people in England.

I could see where people are upset, of course racism and violence isn't the answer but that Choudry guy (sp?) is a vile, nasty individual that needs to be dealt with.

No, I understand and I wasn't trying to be confrontational towards you. I saw a recent clip of him on some English talk show and everyone was just bashing him because he said that Islam is a religion of violence.

Now I have been killed in this place because I agree with that statement. I don't think ******s are bad, but I do think that Islam is.

Robinson was called a racist, bigot and insulted simply because he said the same thing. Now he may be going about it in the wrong way, and preaching hatred which again, is the wrong thing to do but I can tell you as an American citizen that there's no way I would be in favor of Sharia courts being established here in the U.S....EVER.

To my understanding there are Sharia courts in England if I'm not mistaken.

In the 50's there were signs of No Blacks and Irish. These people worked hard in areas that some English did not such as long hours in nursing or train track building etc...

In the 60's and 70's it was Blacks and Asian's (Indians) that had trouble with the english. The indian's i spoke to said they opened up shops and changed the way the UK had opening times. There were no shops opened on sunday or after 5. The Indians changed that by working long hours.

in the 90's it cooled down a bit but still prejudice

now it's the ******s that are the scape goat for unhappiness and some eastern european immigrants. There are complaints that the ******s are *********s which some are, but a very small minority. ******s also work hard, you will see them in civil servants roles, doctors, optician's, dentists etc.. plenty are skilled and professional.

The eastern europeans work in jobs that a lot of nationals do not want to do such as building, plumbing, and when they do it, they charge a lot less.

An english plumber will charge 50 quid for a call out fee, that is just to take a look. I know polish guys who fix a job for 25 quid, no call out fee. So who would u call?

Thank you Capt Obvious. If you read my post you will understand that I clearly said ******s aren't bad, Islam is.

When you have an ideology that teaches things in such vague ways like the Quran, Bible or any other "Holy Book". You will get people who interpret it differently and use it to forward whatever agenda they may have.

I'm not defending the EDL, but if here in the U.S, ******s wanted to hold their own courts outside of the one's we have under the Constitution, I would be very much against it and would fight to never see that happen.

Religion and religious ideologies should not have any place in the govt. It should not promote, or limit what people want to believe. If these ******s want to live in England, then they should assimilate to that countries laws and culture, the same way I have as a Mexican/American.

Of course racist groups should be condemned as well but it seems to me that ******s want to separate themselves from England's culture and have their own dominate their neighborhoods and areas.

You forgot to mention that ******s have been going around desecrating war memorials and graves. Classy, real classy.

There are sharia courts here but they arent what they are portrayed as tbh. They are arkaic and ***ist but they are not a ****** version of a law court like some seem to think. They mostly deal with religious issues within the community, the closest this comes to affecting the law is in relation to divorce proceedings (which are biased against women) but they can only deal with the 'religious' side of divorce, not legal divorce, division of assets, the fate of children and stuff like that.

The worst aspects of Islam would be eradicated much quicker if we in the UK embraced ******s as fellow citizens rather than trying to attack and isolate them imo. But this is issue, the far right in Britain don't really care about bringing Islam into the 21st century or anything like that. Their issue is with immigration. They are pissed off because because times are hard at the moment, and they see a correlation between brown people moving here and their lives getting worse. The pattern was exactly the same with the National Front in the 70s and the British Union of *******s in the 30's and even back to the 19th century discrimination against the Irish and Eastern Euro ***ish immigrants.

As more ****** kids are educated in our schools, watch our telly, read our ****zines and make friends with British kids the Asian communities will develop more modern views on ***ism, ****phobia and Anti Semitism. Attacking Mosques, even going on talk shows shouting about the evil ****** faith (however much it may be true in some cases) is only going to hold back that process.

OK, step by step here. This is my point, there should be no other courts outside of the ones already established. The fact that religious belief gets you some other court that you can preside under is absurd. If you want equality, then isn't equality under the law a great place to start, regardless of your religious belief?

You do realize you are talking to a Mexican/American. I understand and sympathize with the immigration issue because here in the States it's a huge one for us as well. At the same time, I also tell my own people that we need to be respectful of this country, it's laws, culture and at least learn the language so we can be seen as Americans.

I hate to say this to you because I don't know if you are a ****** or not, but Islam and democracy are diametrically opposed. ******s do NOT want what democracy has to offer, outside of a good paying job. They want to live in England, work, make English money but they want to keep all of their cultures, ideology and hold Englands laws and culture secondary to their own. That is not wanting to assimilate.

I agree but because Islam has such a strong hold on the people, and essentially brainwashed them, do you think that's even possible? Here in the States I can tell you that people tend to assimilate very fast to American culture, for some reason it's always been this way. I think it has a lot to do with the patriotism Americans seem to have, openly and unashamed.
