Yeah you still get morons who say "Why are we in Afghanistan!? Those guys were SAUDIS!!!!11111onewhathef_ck" despite the fact that they were trained in Afghanistan in training camps protected by the Taliban while the Saudi leadership, loathsome as it is, is generally amenable to the United States.

i remember a few weeks ago some poster went on a rant here about "WE HAVE NO BUSINESS IN AFGHANISTAN. THERE WAS NO WMD FOUND IN AFGHANISTAN. WE NEED TO GO AFTER AL QAEDA."

Without looking any numbers up, and considering its been a long and stories conflict dating back hjndreds of years, I'm going to venture a guess and say a significant portion of Chechens wanted independance.

In any case, does any number/percentagr provided to you negate the fact of what Russia came in and did?
