    Adults should not drink milk

I have been on this health kick for the last year or so. I have lost over 40 lbs, and for the first time in about 10 years, I got my six pack back (well 4 pack and signs of the rest but those ***ers are hard to keep).

I don't drink milk, mainly because my body can't digest it anymore. I thought it was just me getting older but I started researching why so many people around the world are lactose intolerant. Here's a summary of what I found by Dr. Kristen Harding.

No other mammal drinks milk past childhood, let alone, drinks the milk of another species. Dr. Mark Hyman who is a pioneer in the field of Functional Medicine is always saying that milk is great…if you are a baby cow. Last time I checked, I was not a calf. In previous posts Dr. Huber has listed many reasons why we should consider avoiding milk [Is Milk Good for Kids (or anyone else)]. I have researched this myself and have come to understand that milk is not a good choice for us humans.

In order to break down milk, an enzyme called lactase is required. All mammals are actually designed to develop intolerance to milk after infancy and this happens when the body turns off the gene that manufactures lactase. Are you or is someone you know lactose intolerant? It is actually normal for people to become lactose intolerant.
People who can still digest milk as an adult carry a gene mutation which allows them to continue to produce the lactase enzyme. So people who can drink milk as an adult are actually the weird ones!
It also explains how evolution is involved in it. Humans stop producing that enzyme that allows us to digest milk and it's for a good reason. (for those of you that still don't believe in evolution, here's yet another of the millions of scientific proofs)

Milk is bad for you, it's full of fat, all kinds of hormones, it hurts the cows severely and it's hard to digest unless you are a freak.

So stop drinking milk, you can get calcium from many other sources, like almond milk which I drink which has more calcium and is much better for you.

Coconut milk, almond milk, soy milk...there's many options. They have gotten better and taste great, try almond milk, I drink it everyday with my protein shakes.

I never drink milk. I've never liked it. The only time I would consume it is on the very rare occasion that I eat cereal. I might have 1 bowl of cereal every 3 months or so.

I doubt that's the reason you've lost 40 lbs. though. It may have helped but there must be more to it than that.

I drink milk every day and my digestion couldn't be any more perfect.

Excellent source of protein, calcium and vitamin D

What about the tribal populations like the inuit or nomadic mongols whose diet revolves around milk?

The mongols almost conquered the world.

Oh no, I never said that's the reason I lost 40lbs (actually more like 50 now). I just wanted to give one of the health decisions I made in the last few years. Milk is terrible for you, especially here in the U.S where it's full of fat and hormones.

I lost the weight eating healthy and working hard in the gym, very hard.

Almond milk is great man, try it. I don't like Soy and men over 21 shouldn't drink soy because of the amount of estrogen it has in it (yes, what is in females)

I buy almond milk that has 30 calories per serving and no fat.

Lactose intolerance is geographically distributed evolved as an adaptation to the consumption of non-human milk and dairy products beyond infancy. South east asian's and africans are highly intolerant while europeans, mainly those from the north are minimally affected. This doesnt mean all adults should drink it. I dont drink milk but i love cheese, never had any problems with it. This is just one of those health scare tactics which attempts to make claims like people on earth are all the same
