there's nothing wrong with getting and education, it doesnt mean that person is lazy. i'd rather have a degree than not have one

Co sign this. I know a ton of kids that get into pretty good schools that are extremely lazy, just have to look at a bunch of my colleagues. As a matter of fact, getting into a school is pretty simple, especially straight out of high school. I'd say in most American high schools if you do just your homework, you can easily pull well above a 3 point. I say this because in my high school career I did very little studying at all and ended up with a strong GPA. The hard part of college isn't getting in, it's actually absorbing the information and actually putting it into action.

As for the question, I would say no. I have worked a full time job since I graduated high school while doing 12 credit hours a semester and it isn't some ***** work either, I do manual labor. Part of the reason I continue to do this though is because I hate this kind of work and really don't wish to do it all my life but that doesn't mean I can't hack hard labor.

Love how people act as if the sole purpose of education is money. Most college students are the same way though, just want their piece of paper as easily as possible.

What do you expect to learn without it? How to work at Mcdonald's?

Unless you're majoring in science, engineering or something useful, you're throwing your money away.

                  Better off learning a trade.
Definitely not the case over here.

I went to university. The majority of my mates are doing trades. I am in a better position than they are and I am happier with what I am doing.

Why wouldn't you want an easy job that you like?

Sounds pretty awful having to go to some hard labor job for 40 years.
