Everyone is different, there are some people who work their asses off in school, but they dislike physical work. Some people can do both, some can do neither .
Ya, I work in a warehouse lifting heavy ****, and I literally walk like 5-6 miles a day doing it while going to school full time, not to mention I was also on a D1 track team for 3 years before injury ended that.

There is a discipline benefit in it though, and it keeps you motivated to stay in school so you don't have to do manual labor your whole life. It's even worse when you are working for minimum wage. My father is nearly 50 and has been doing manual labor in the city for more than 30 years.

I don't want to go down that road, and I hate that he is still going down it.

I moved to Austin for 3 years.

Lived with my buddies, hustled my ****ing face off while going to UT.

Left the city and moved back down home.

All I have is a piece of Paper. Dot. But I'm all good to go.

The money I made surely wasn't the result of a "College Degree".

I graduated from UT in just over 3 years taking the rest of my basics at the local community college. Just took core over there.

Nothing to brag about at all.

People in school simply want to secure their future, and make as much money as they can while exploiting their full potential. Some don't go to college to make money in the future, but rather because they love to learn, and want to master a certain field that they admire, love, and are fond to. College is hard work so the answer to this thread is no. It's a ****** thread if you ask me, as is TS. I've worked long hours doing heavy labor, and gone to school at the same time. Maybe it's just me, but college is harder then any manuel labor one can do.

Don't get me wrong I get good grades, but I think it's the psychological pressure of school that makes it harder then manuel labor. The pressure to succeed, and progress is always there, whereas at work the pressure is gone once the day ends, or atleast that's how I see it.

Yeah, that's def true in some people. And it works the other way too, some people who chose work over college are intimidated by those who dedicated themselves to education (essays, exams, study, etc), so they try to demean it.

                    It works both ways.

are you trolling or serious?? I've work hard labor and also finished school.

                      1. College is ALOT harder then most work you'll do. I was alot more frantic and stressed while in school. School IS HARD WORK.

                      2. Let me see dont go to college and be uneducated and work labor jobs till i die making just enough money to live

                      3. or go to school and make good money and live comfortable and enjoy life.

Only an idiot would turn school down. Of course if you want to join the police academy or become a co those are options, but those also have alot of bad and a high divorce rate lol
