    It's "dead hands" you moron.

I think it's been stalished by now that Americans are paranoid and ******.These people think continents are countries and make political protests by changing the names of certain foods.

The United States own arrogance will lead to the demise of their corrupt nation. And just like the day Margaret Thatcher dies,we will all be dancing and singing in the streets.

Its only a matter of time since Americans in general seem not to care about having their basic rights stripped away from them one right at a time.

If its done in increments, nobody notices.

First permits, then registration (which we already have in most states) then confiscation by one of *****'s National Civilian Security Force.

Soon all countries will "ban" guns and only the governments and police will have them.

      Yay!!!!

      Police State Tyranny FTW!!!!
You forgot the criminals who will buy them from crooked police enforcement,or just make them on there own.

Whilst I agree that America would be a much healthier place without guns, the fact is, there is no way to remove guns from American society. They are far too ingrained in the average Americans midset to be completely outlawed and strongly regulated.

Imagine trying to take away the NHS from British society. There would be riots and revolution. Thus it wouldn't happen. Now it is the same in American society regarding gun ownership.

I think it is sad that Americans value firearms as much as they do. It is very neanderthalic and primitive. But hey, that is America for you. Let them get on with it. Judge not, lest ye be judged.

I've actually changed my view on America's gun policy in the last year or so.

I mean it's not ideal, but there is no ideal way to solve problems like that. Take a look at the knife crime situation in Britain, politicians can't seem to understand why ANYONE would be carrying a knife.

But that's easy for them to say, they don't live in the violent areas of Britain where you can be stabbed to death for next to no reason. If you have a knife yourself at least you have a much better chance of defending yourself against someone trying to stab you by using yours. So I can see why people feel safer carrying a knife in Britain, it doesn't always mean they're part of a gang, like popular opinion seems to be.

That's a pretty controversial opinion to have in the UK, to sympathise with knife carriers, but I think it's the same kind of thing as the USA, except they're illegal to carry.

But what can the UK do? Make knives completely illegal? It's impossible and ridiculous.
Knives are illegal to carry in the UK anyway in public places.

The difference between me and the average fat yank is that I don't hide behind fake patriotism and some silly little flag.

So are guns unless you get the right permits and pass background checks.
