Just weird US stock market is up when almost everyone thought it will crash. Russian and Europe stock market crashed the next day after invasion.

Sell it while you can and get out at a profit then. People bought the dip, but when they see it dropping, they will sell off and make it drop even faster very soon. Weren't you gloating over having sold off just before the 2020 stock market crash? Why give away the profit you made and the loses that you saved, for having done so then? You can jump back in when the dust settles, and it's safer.

If market was going to crash, it would have crashed already yesterday or today..

While I did sell majority of my portfolio before pandemic crash, i waited too long to get back in. i sold when sp500 was 3000, it dipped further to 2300, i got back in at around 3000 as well, so I didnt really "save any losses" versus if I didnt sell.

The market has been on a steady decline for over a month, and it will continue to decline despite bumps from very short term dip investors who quickly get out when they can with a quick profit, and this was before the war broke out. Inflation/an overvalued market/ and now war is a disastrous mix. If you can get out with a profit now, you can always jump back in later, whether an imminent drop is big or small. It's the prudent move. I don't think you are going to see a bull market any time soon.

It often dont work timing the market specially if you are in long term in SPY, DIA, QQQ.
Imagine if i didnt get back in since there is still corona, i would have missed the massive gain during the pandemic.

On individual stocks, specially meme stocks, that makes for sense to buy and sell often..

If I were retiring in less than 2 yrs, then yeah need to remove a big fraction of my portfolio in stocks and move to more conservative investment.

If you sold it when it started to drop and then bought it back after it began to rise, you not only wouldn't have missed it...you’d have doubled the gain. I'm not saying get out and stay out, just avoid the crash, If you get in on the rise, and it doesn't go up you're still good, and if it recovers your twice was good. It's simple math. SPY, DIA, QQQ...it doesn't matter, it's the same equation.
